Had a great day.

Anyone notice how red's flag was never taken? Something about good defense? ;)

The highlight of the game for me was singing Mulan and then having the whole yellow team join in as we walked to our base!
Oh yeah, and booking it back to the base with blue's flag in my hand.

If you're going to go to war against a major enemy, go; knock the hell out of him fast, and go in there to kill him and get it over with.

I have bullous myringitis with a healthy side of shingles.

Basically I have blisters on my eardrum and the antibiotics they put me on shut down my atuo-immune system and kicked in a case of shingles from my left eye to my hairline.

Good times.

Awesome game to everybody. Thanks to APST for putting it on. And much kudos to WakeJoe for his pistol kill on a sniper. That was beautiful dude.

Yes so Fred, let me apologize again for shooting you. In my defense I can only say if you go in the tube, sometimes bad things happen. I fear the tube. I hereby grant you one one (400fps max) free shot on me (if it shuts you up). :)

Morgan, you did surprise me with your comeback I was caught rather unawares. I had trouble paying attention to the yellow death pool because it usually had a healthy amount of people in it. Yellow was kind of positioned a bit centrally, but I saw some red-blue engagements. Kudos to you for being the one with the hustle and not one of the spawn laggers, it payed off.

Defense was the message of the day, I agree. Had I actually stayed put on defense instead of getting the killing itch we might have been able to defend our flag and be the only team to capture one and keep their flag. Then again, I sure had a lot of fun with the killing so hard to say which decision was right.

To my fellow PAC members, it was great to be on the field with you again. Let's do it again sometime soon.

I liked the scenario of 3-way CTF. I think that it would have been good to mark the flag locations (and potentially move them just a tad further from the spawns). When we captured the yellow flag ours was already gone so it was a bit tricky to try and figure out where to put it. If you saw us move the yellow flag once that was us moving it to a position further away from our spawn to try and be more fair.

The changes to the field really have made some additional cover. Those roadside brush piles are great and there's a lot more places to hide these days. Great game, thanks for making it happen

Thanks a lot for putting this game on. it was my first and I had a blast. I'm definitely out of shape though. I think less beer and more treadmill would do me good.

Thanks for the feedback. Now that I have the damn things made, and I've run the scenario, I know what I need to do differently. I thought, when placing the flags initially, that I had them far enough away from the respawns to be an issue, but my own squad tried a manuever to come down behind blue team and take the yellow flag from them (yellow had taken the blue flag by this point). This positioning put us up on top of the hill with the clearing (aka Elk Shit Meadow), looking down over the back of blue's respawn and their captured flag. When we came down and grabbed the flag, we were shot (rightly so) by the folks that had just respawned, but it caused a little confusion because the blue team thought it was "too cheap" to be able to shoot the enemy right out of respawn and they hesitated.

I will try to move the respawns into areas that aren't easily accessible or "in the way," but I don't want to make one team hike up huge hills just to respawn, or have overly-defensible positions for flags to be located. Sometimes, you're just going to run into the other team's respawn when moving your squad around.

I will experiment with the 3-way CTF and other move-the-flag-somewhere-else style games at Scappoose, as well as some sector control/objective variants I've been bouncing around in my head. You will be seeing many more skirmishes from me in the future.
