Adam and Bill managed in less than 24 hours what airsofters have been trying to accomplish for 8 years.

Single operators can attend this as well.

Details will be published once Bill gets home (which he's on his way now)

(ooppsie.. Didn't notice Chappeds post.. Yeah what he said)

There will be an vendor area as well. and I will have sunday specials as well at Rilea but remember I am holding a sale on Saturday at my home.. So come out then if you want to get on those BB specials.

Sale info here: http://www.airsoftpacific.com/viewtopic ... highlight=

(my fear is that I am going to be lonely in my garage for 6 hours) :-)

So I guess I am a little confused on this. I was under the impression that the Challenge was still going on this weekend still but just at Rilea, and still have the two scenarios, competition, and trophies. Just that in the down time there will be a cool a$$ airsoft skirm going on in another area of the Rilea complex. Have you heard something other then that Riddick? I guess we will just have to wait to hear from Bill and Adam to find out what really is going on.

Maybe I am confused.. It's been hard to communicate with Bill today what exactly is going on because his phone is blowing up with calls. So let's just wait for his official announcement.

i have been contacting our sponsors to let them know the change of venue.

A certain someone here on AP has almost lost some raffle prizes for you all by sending out E-mails to MY contacts.

If you don't like what BSP is doing thats fine, Don't come to our events, But please if you are activly trying to sabotage us.... You are hurting the community as a whole.

I am starting to wonder who's fingers were involved with the community losing the ability to use The Facility at Withycombe.

As I understand it;

The competition is still taking place.
Those teams who have signed up for the competition will still be executing CQC scenarios against staff actors and their performance will be graded. There will be trophies awarded to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place.
In addition to this there will be a full scale force on force battle taking place as well.

There should be little to no downtime. Your team will be radio'd in from the battle to perform special missions (graded scenarios.) The battle continues to rage on regardless of which team is running the scenarios.
The scenarios are in the same vicinity as the battle but isolated/controlled to keep others out.

I hope this clarifies things a bit.

Ok guys, we're coming to you from the oregon coast on a dial up connection. woot!

Here is the deal:

Rilea is a go for Sunday, March 2nd, at 08:00 am. Event starts at 09:00 am. You have to be onsite at 08:00 am.

The competition is still a go.

Teams will be given two scenarios to complete and be fully graded on over the course of the day. These will encompass MOUT situations. Adjust your kit accordingly.

Final briefs will be given on site.

The BSP Challenge has been hamstrung by Camp Withycombe, but we have secured a better facility for the event and this will be 100% badass.

The WAR:
At the BSP Challenge you were going to have quite a lot of downtime. When you were waiting to do your scenario, or after you had completed your scenario, you were going to fill that time with shooting competitions, vendors, food, and other cool things that the Army was bringing out to play with.

Now, instead of having a lot of downtime, we will have a full MOUT facility and 50-60 acres of property to play on. We will be running scenarios and sector control with objectives, and we will still have some vendors on site to keep you fully occupied for the eight hours that you will be on base.

When you're not competing, you'll be getting your war on. Tons of trigger time. This won't be a glorified skirmish. This is going to be cool. The terrain is fantastic.

In the general war area, 400 FPS is authorized.

In the scenarios 330 or less. We will chrono.

Attendance:

Anyone who wants to attend this and hasn't already signed up for the BSP Challenge must be 16+, have a signed waiver, and be respectful of the competition that is going on. We will have the areas clearly marked so there won't be any confusion about where you can and can't go.

Non-competitors can attend this event for $30. That does not include the raffle. If you would like to get in on the raffle it's $50. It's the only thing that makes it fair to the competitors, who are the focus of this event.

We will give you a full rundown with backstory on the competitive scenarios and the general war later this evening. We are heading back to Portland in the next 30 minutes so if you have any questions please call Bill or myself.

Adam - 503 867 2992

i understand that it is 330 for the M.O.U.T. and 400 for the battle senerio.

Do not quote me tho, Bill and Adam will clear it all up shortly.

Edit: Well there you have it....

Wow, this is childish.

You are referring to Knuckles. He's contacted probably over 100 companies in the past few months since he took up his position as staff writer here on AP. It's not impossible to fathom that you might have some of the same contacts considering that we're both interested in the same products.

I've seen his correspondence with Benchmade and I can assure you that if anything it actually promotes BSP in a very positive light. He had an appointment set with Benchmade for a site tour at their offices prior to the event's proceedings on Saturday but he had to cancel it due to the fact that you guys announced the event had been cancelled. Because in that case he would no longer be coming up to Portland.

Before he even made those plans he told Benchmade about the challenge event which may very well be the reason why they wanted to sponsor it in the first place. So, if you were no longer heading up to Portland and you had an appointment scheduled, wouldn't you have to contact the company and cancel it? Of course.

See, marketing people do this thing called marketing. If I'm a marketer and I only have one contact, Troy Mohr, then I'm doing a piss poor job at marketing. Right? So YOU don't own any contacts. It's not "MY" contact, it should be referred to as "A" contact. Suddently I'm thinking of Fight Club.

You can cry about it all you want or come up with conspiracy theories, but the fact is I could say the same thing about many of the names on your sponsor list. But then again, they're not "MY" contacts, they're just contacts. Right? In the end, you're just selling them on the value of supporting something... An event, a website, a review. They're getting exposure for their product and reaping the benefits. They are your customers in this light, not your contacts. Pull your head out of your a$$ and go work on patching up your event. I could care less who you contact and if they're sponsors of AP or not, as long as you're giving them a value and they're getting exposure from it, good for them!

No offense, but if the value of your event drops because your venue is not secure, I don't think it's fair for you to point the fingers at other people if your sponsors want to start pulling support. I don't appreciate that at all. It's very immature.

Please leave AP out of any future discussions about this event, we have nothing to do with it at all. This is 100% your show. Best of luck at the coast, I hope everything goes well for you guys.
