Not every airsofter is a die hard milsimer.... they have the military for that Morgan. Some of us just like to play games. You are right though if you want great tactical training then go to BSP. If you just want to have some fun with your gun go to any skirm. I would understand you a little better if you weren't so negative consistantly. I mean man if you don't have something positive or at least constructive why do you post? You and I have had a long airsoft relationship (staight love my friend), I was there at your first game in Scap 'member, and this change you have under gone is distressing to me (not that it means anything to anyone when I am distressed). Now my opinion does not have to count for anything but I would like to at least think that I may be one of the "anyone who is anyone in airsoft" set and I will be at ABT just to play the game...remember when it was just a game for us both? you got my number man call me.

Morgan was my spotter for that skirm, I remember it well. He had a spring shotgun and was trying to close distance on the AEG-toting opfor across the canyon... Even then he was a crazy motherf**ker... (:

Good times. I haven't had too many good times with him since. You're right to bring it up...

What happened to you, Morgan? You were such an eager player, just hungry for the game when you were a n00b. Somewhere along the line, something changed.

yea, you mean something clicked.

those were the days though werent they, me the UTG poster child. well those days are gone. that is the past, and well... i dont live in the past. i am moving forward. i really have lost my taste for airsoft in general. i came into this sport greener then green, but i had heart and i had honor.

the field of honor is littered with the hackers, dishonorable, and untrustworthy. i have grown tired and weary of "playing" airsoft. now all i really want to do is train useing airsoft tools and compete, because what is the point of a skirm or OP nowadays anyway....its a excuse for some promoter to line his pockets and fill the field full of anyone who has a airsoft rifle. mostly kids.

G18 was the last decent OP i went to, everyone that i have been to since has had its gameplay fall well below expectations. so now i do not put my money into those promoters. BSP is pretty much the only promoter that i have event after event walked away, shocked, rocked and fully blown away! there has not been one promoter to step up to the plate in the way Bill, Ryan and Adam have for the past 4+ years, bringing this community QUALITY EVENTS. that is where my money goes, because i know EXACTLY what i am going to get.

so when i am in serious training mode, and all i have is booger chewing newbs surrounding me, i get aggitated, frustrated, and just want to rip peoples bleeding faces off.

i get meaner, nastier, and full of spite, contempt and a general malease for anyone and anything remotley resembbling this.

@ steve.... we have been bro's along time. we never shoot together anymore, and since the fall out with troy and EATF, you guys have operated on the fringes of the community, witch led you to the ABT guys. now i have meet and like bill and huge. both guys are fun to shoot with or at, but i cannot or will not support a field that does not meet the saftey requirements for AP ( there has never been a working chrono on site for all three games i have attended there), and the quality of players on that field are definatley sub-par when it come to a milsim attitude twords airsoft. and that is kewl, not everyone wants to play as i do and i dont expect everyone too. but when you advertise your product here in the community, and i have experience with it, i have every right to express my honest opinons, and inform players exactly what to/not to expect from any given field.

@ mono, yea i have changed, and for me....the change is good. i do not do what is right for other people, i do what is right for me.

You are right Morgan we don't shoot togehter anymore and that should be changed. As for the fallout I did not operate on the fringes of ap i just left completely. as for the ABT guys we do not have a partnership with them they are just the closest local field and sometimes we rent the field for games. As for the chrono's we have two new chrono's with their own light source as that was the problem with the last game WE held there, we had a chrono it just did not work at first due to light conditions so we spent almost two hundred to fix that problem. As for the hacking at the field we asked you as an known honorable airsofter to help with that as well. You are correct in saying that there is not a general mil-sim feel usually at that field but last I looked it hasn't been advertised as such...just skirms man. I have nothing but respect for you and you know this man! So I ask instead of tearing down people who are honestly trying to evolve as better field owners(they are very new to the sport and it is up to us "vets" to steer them in the right direction) offer advice instead. It gives a poor outlook to new guys and or to potential sponsors when they see "vets" consistantly crapping on people... I now know that "playing" airsoft isn't you cup of tea and that of course is fine BSP can easily handle your "Tactical Needs". You are always welcome at any of our games and I would love to see a Terror's Honor Squad vs. Morgan's Riflemen play date in the near future... just us I am sure we can give you the experience of no hacking squad based mil-sim you are looking for and we can have alot of fun doing it.

Morgan, trust me when I say I feel your pain. I know your concerns, but I am choosing to help bring the level of airsoft up. The difference is in what we see. You see a booger-chewing noob with no respect for the rules. I see a blank slate, someone who is capable of growth. Immense growth, in some cases.

I got into airsoft as a training tool in the first place, a skirmish is a lesson in improvised squad tactics, basic leadership and group dynamics. I'm an optimist, as you can see. Just about anything can be a training tool if you know how to look at it.

Don't give up on these kids, man. They are capable of so much more than chewing boogers. They just need someone to show them how the game is meant to be played.

Please, try. You're an honorable player, people could learn a lot from you if you'd just stop biting their goddamn heads off. Encourage, support and lead by example.

Someone needs to mix Mono and KA-BAR in a pot and mold two new airsoft players out of the mix. The flavors by themselves are usually too much to bear, but somewhere in the middle is that happy spot.
