Face protection

There's a few low profile paintball masks out there, I'd suggest one of those.

Balaclava and $1 mouth guard - cheaper than a paintball mask and whole lot better looking.

^^^ yup. I still need to get a mouth guard. You can always go with a gentex helmet and get the face guard. It'll make you look like a future force soldier. Pretty cool cause you can get flip down visors, and nvg mounts, and com sets. but it's really really expensive.

I prefer to wear a full face mask as not to get any serious face injuries. I bought a mask for approximately twenty dollars, it is a JT Paintball mask. I have had no issues with it, and you can buy it in any local Wal-Mart. The only problem I have with my mask is that it is too wide, and I have a hard time aligning my sights properly.

I wear a gasmask actually. Very badass when worn with a full SAS uniform, and protects the face just fine.

hmmmmm...... no glasses..... Don't worry I know they're there. I think I'd like to get some SG-1's and a mouth guard. Getting shot in the face hurts, but there's a lot it hurts less than. Have to agree with you on shemagh though, I'd wear one of those rather than a blaclava. used to, but don't anymore. wear the balaclava that is.

lol if u cant take pain go with the full face. i personally just use mesh goggles with out the face masks and a mouth guard no fog and easy to aim. Sure ive gotten bloody lips and a tounge once(had my stupid mouth open). But i would rather take the pain of getting shot in the face then loose my ability to aim correctly.

Dont your face masks prevent you from using your optics? Im imagining it clunking akwardly into the side of your stock. Or maybe i just have bad shooting posture. Ive seen photos of my shooting and my pudgy cheeks hang (yes hang) a bit over the top of the stock.

I'm a sissy with no desire to take a face shot. As such, I actually own one of those masks, too. For some stupid reason, it was the first thing I purchased for airsoft, and, to this day, one of the last. I'll have a paycheck coming soon enough and work my way into a decent loadout.

Original poster, if you still care, that mask isn't terrible, and it's fairly inexpensive. It's not exceptionally military-like, but, personally, that's an exception I would be willing to make.
