Seems rather silly, doesn't it? I'll buy a few spare pairs. Maybe some different colors. Do a test as to what works best when.

Course, in order for that to work, I need to get my contacts. Anyone who wears contacts got anything they can say? I get nervous when anything goes anywhere near my eyes.

Contacts were a pain in the a$$ for me to put in when I first got them. It really takes some getting use to putting your finger in your eye. After you get them in, you don't really notice them.

I use em for safety glasses at work. They're not bad at all. I like em.

If you wear glasses now, wait until you get the contacts! Having peripheral vision again will take getting used to. The ability to not-fog (mesh) is really something cool.

Being able to wear sunglasses....

But yeah, as far as getting used to them; it's a steep curve, but is over on day 2. Your eyeball has a layer of skin over it (a thick one). You can actually pinch your eyeball skin like the skin on the back of your hand (yeah, it hurts). So once you get accostomed to putting your finger on your eyeball, it's all downhill. Mind over matter.

I recommend the soft disposable type. In fact, you can even get daily disposables. Wear 'em once, and toss 'em. Each day is a new pair, and there ain't nothin' better than a fresh pair of contacts. The daily dispaosables will cost you about a buck-a-day to wear.

It's a better life with contacts. Come on over to the light....

I was thinking about the soft kind, just because I don't think that would bug me so much. Figure it's gonna be a few years before I can afford to get PRK done.

So, Tyrant, since you wear them, is there anything more you can tell me about these glasses?

As for the rating.... you are looking for anything that is "ballistic rated", at least thats what the people here keep saying.

According to the military, who used ballistic glasses to stop real steel, they need to be rated as Z87...(no idea what it means).

Vulcan is getting Lasik in January, and can't werar contacts for a while before the surgery, so Santa's Stand Up fight will be his last game for a bit... Makes me sad.

But yeah, he rants like he's getting old about how great contacts are for airsoft.
