I've taken guncases. It wasn't an issue, really. They are so lax you could probably take almost anything you wanted.

Pre-registration ends tomorrow. (8/15)

http://www.battlesim.com/kp72registration.html

US SIDE IS FILLED. We have no more room for US forces (multicam and ACU).

Hurry, spots are going fast. This is a registration cap on this game of 100 players.

Train Restrictions

Postby Vulcan » Fri Aug 17, 2007 6:47 am

Just FYI:

Here is an excerpt from the Amtrak site regarding prohibited items. I would recommend anyone who is thinking about taking the train, call Amtrak directly first and make sure you can bring your replicas and all your gear. When I travel by airplane with my replicas, they treat them exactly like a real firearm, have to go in a checked locked gun case...don't even pack my BB's in the same case.

Prohibited Items

The following kinds of items are prohibited as both checked and carry-on baggage:

*
Any type of gun, firearm, ammunition, explosives, or weapon.
*
Incendiaries, including flammable gases, liquids and fuels.
*
Large, sharp objects such as axes, ice picks and swords.
*
Corrosive or dangerous chemicals or materials, such as liquid bleach, tear gas, mace, radioactive and harmful bacteriological materials.
*
Batteries with acid that can spill or leak (except those batteries used in motorized wheelchairs or similar devices for mobility-impaired passengers).
*
Club-like items, such as billy clubs and nightsticks.
*
Fragile and/or valuable items, including but not limited to electronic equipment. (Laptop computers and handheld devices may be carried onboard; however, Amtrak accepts no liability for damage.)
*
Animals (except service animals).
*
Oversized and/or overweight items.

Please note: This is not an exhaustive list. Any item similar to those listed, even if not specifically mentioned here, is prohibited from being carried onboard or checked as baggage.

I called Amtrak before I traveled on them. I took 4 AEGs and two GBBs, along with all my tac gear. My AEGs and my gear bag were locked shut at the zipper, though. It went very smooth.

Excellent,

Commie Hunter has the low down.

Looks like Amtrak is a viable option.

Darn your website, you.

I registered for it, but I never got a confirmation so I could get on your boards and pre-register.

Also, how am I supposed to sign up for a side if I don't know what sides are open?

Oh well.

Where does it say the US side is the only one not full? If so that is a mistake and we need to correct it but I can't find it.

http://www.battlesim.com/kp72registration.html

It lists the sides open, the camo required and has a drop down list on the registration form for picking your side. You do NOT need to be regsitered on Battlesim to sign up for the event. The forums have nothing to do with registration. Just use the registration page.

Thanks!

You must be looking at it backwards. It is showing the slots left, not the amount that are taken. 50/50 = empty

That's correct. We were looking at it backwards. We thought it was Slots Available/Slots Taken.

Thanks for clearing that up.

For the record:
Airsoft replicas are exempt from firearms restrictions since they do not fit the TSA's definition of "firearm." If you clearly mark the case with the word "replica," it should be treated like other general baggage. However, airport personnel will assume unmarked weapons cases do contain firearms and will probably ask to see your ID before releasing them.

(no derail intended)
