Hellmutt, I've sent you a couple of emails regarding 5th RAC's numbers, can you confirm if you've gotten any of them?

I checked here and on Battlesim.com but I'm not seeing any FPS limits. Are they above or below the limits we list on this site? Just want to make sure we don't have to worry about downgrading.

Dantes,

Your standards should be in your range. We will be using the Evergreen rules: ( http://www.evergreenairsoft.org/GeneralRules.htm )

EYEWEAR IS TO REMAIN ON AT ALL TIMES WHILE YOU ARE ON THE FIELD!!! Proper eyewear is eyewear the seals to your face. Players 15, and under need full face protection.
Facemasks are recommended for all players, but not required if you are over 15. Be aware that a close range hit from an AEG can leave light scarring on your face, and on occasion, have been known to chip teeth. Eyewear must be able to withstand a point blank hit from an upgraded AEG. If your not sure about the reliability of your eyewear, then test it before coming to the field. EYEWEAR MUST REMAIN ON AT ALL TIMES WHILE ON THE FIELD!!! You must resolve any fogging or visibility issues before going onto the field. If you remove your eyewear on the field, you will be ejected from the game.
NO LITTERING ON THE FIELD!!! (this includes cigarettes, do not smoke on the field)

HITS

Ricochets do not count. Gun hits do not count. However, a gun hit does not exclude you from additional hits to the body or gear. Hits anywhere on your body, on any of your tactical gear and any part of your clothes count. No matter how far away it came from, or who shot you, it is a hit. Getting shot by your own teammate is also a hit. Hits do not have to be felt to count. Look and Listen. If you see bb's bounce off a teammate, inform them they are hit.

DISPUTES

If you feel you've hit someone, and they do not call it, don't call it for them, create a conflict, or dispute on the field. Bring it to the attention of Stevo, or another one of the Evergreen field organizers. We will deal with problem players. Not calling your hits is considered cheating. If you are noticed not calling your hits, you can be asked to leave, and players with a bad or combative attitude will be told not to come back.

DEADMAN

Dead men do not talk! Once you are hit, remove the magazine from your gun (with the exception of medic, and re-spawn variations), hold your gun and hands up so as to adopt a neutral body language. Do not shoot at dead players, or use them as cover. As a dead player, do not provide cover for your teammates. Quietly, and directly exit the field, without interfering with ongoing combat, or if game variation allows, head for your re spawn point. In a medic game variation, you may call for a medic, but no other information is allowed. You may not inform a medic if it is "safe" for them to come to you. EYEWEAR IS TO REMAIN ON AT ALL TIMES!!!

Physically contact between opposing players in not allowed. No "hand to hand", wrestling, or tackling, not even in jest. The only exception is "tapping" a player out in a medic scenario.

At no time is a player allowed to "fake" being dead. Also, players are not allowed to verbally lie as to which team they are on. For example; if a player asks you "blue team, or red team!" You may not say "red team" if you are blue. However, you don't have to answer at all. Be aware, if you don't answer, you are going to be shot at.

Players may not exit, and re enter the play field during the course of a game. Make sure you have everything you need to complete a game. If your battery goes down, or you run out of ammo, make sure you have more next time.

GAME OVER

When a game is over, pass the word along. Remove the magazine from your gun,
fire twice to make sure no bb is in the chamber, and switch the safety on.

GUN LIMITS AND BB'S

Full auto guns are limited to 400fps with a .20 bb, and 365fps, with a .25.
High power bolt action rifles at 500fps and up are handled on a person by person basis, and must be registered with the club. You must also be an experienced player to use this type of equipment. The use of bb's heavier than .25 are allowed on a person by person basis for experienced known players with a proper gun for the application. If you wish to use a heavier bb you must ask the field operator before hand. All full auto AEG's must still meet the chronograph limits set above.

ABSOLUTELY NO METAL BB'S ARE ALLOWED!! If you use these on the field, you will be told to leave!

DOWN TIME REDUCING RULES

When a game is over, and you have left the field, re supply yourself, and be prepped for the next game as quickly as possible. The next game start will be announced, if it hasn't been already pre planned at the beginning of the day, and players that are not ready, may have to sit out a game in order to start games on time. When it is time to enter the field and head to your teams starting point, you must be ready. You will not be allowed to enter a game late without the field operators approval.

General Rules

2. GOGGLES – ANSI approved goggles must be worn on the field at all times, and must create a full seal around the eyes. Mesh goggles are allowed and must be able to withstand repeated point blank shots from an AEG shooting the FPS limit. A full facemask is recommended but not required. Users take their own risk if a facemask is not worn.

3. AEG MAX FPS - All guns MUST be chronographed during check in w/.25 bb’s. BB's will be provided for chrono.
.25 bb
Less than/ 366 FPS = OK
Greater than 367 FPS = No Go

You goal should be less than 366 FPS w/.25 bbs. 366 in no way should be your target. In fact, your target should be at least 10 - 15 FPS less. Due to atmospheric conditions such as temperature and humidity as well as bb weight, AEGs can chrono inconsistently from day to day. These rules have been structured to ensure that most guns with popular upgrades such as an M120 spring are capable of use. This is however not a guarantee. AEGs must be under the OK range. Guns in the No-Go range will be prohibited from use and will be confiscated from the player for the duration of the event, to be returned end of day Sunday. Any players caught during the event with non-chrono'd guns will be ejected from the field immediately.

As a player, it is your responsibility to understand the FPS limitations and ensure before the event that your AEGs are tuned accordingly. Have your AEGs FPS tested w/.25 bbs prior to the event!

Sniper Max FPS

There are limited sniper positions available for each side and must be pre-approved by the organizers. All sniper weapons must be single shot and all will be chrono'd w/.34 or .36 weight bb's. Any weapon capable of full auto fire is NOT eligible as a sniper weapon.
.34 bbs
Less than 448 FPS= OK
449 - 460 FPS= Caution
Greater than 461 FPS = No Go
.36 bbs
Less than 435 FPS = OK
436 - 447 FPS = Caution
Greater than 448 FPS = No Go
Guns in the No-Go range will be prohibited from use and will be confiscated from the player for the duration of the event, to be returned end of day Sunday.

4. SURRENDER RULE – A 20 foot surrender rule is in effect for safety purposes. Do not shoot at any target closer than 20 feet at any time! If you have the drop on a player closer than 20 feet, you may surrender them by yelling “SURRENDERâ€

I would suggest that you plan for 4 hours of driving from the Portland area. The latest you will want to arrive on Saturday would be 0830. You are more then welcome to come up on Friday night, which is when most non-local people will be arriving I think.

We will be headed up Friday night, will there be signs directing people in that can be seen at night? Will there be a person directing people to camp sites?

Yes we will have some signs. The site will be easy to find. If you can figure out how to get to Highway 2 (I-5 -> I-405 -> HW522 ->HW2), all you will have to do is take a right on Sultan basin road and drive until you see the camp on the left side of the road. The field is 3 or 4 miles further down the same road.
