Ok, first of all, do some damn research both on our organization's standards for safety, as well as the standards that are being enforced by the field. If you are going to jump into the forum and announce a game, you need to be precise and to the point. As Nightshade said, your post should read something like this:

The field requires bio/eco friendly bb's. Full seal goggles rated ANSI Z87.1-2003 standard are required, no shooting glasses or mesh for this field. Bio bb's become frangible upon impact with mesh, and can damage the eye. The fee includes a paintball mask in the case that you cannot provide yourself with the above.

That way, you get to the point about what the field requires. If you yourself do not know what the field requires, then YOU should be the one calling them and asking for clarification. YOU posted this event, and it is YOUR responsibility to give us accurate information.

Yes, I think he gets the point. Shall we move on now?

Not so much about beating a dead horse, just want him to do his research into the field and post his findings, rather than saying "I don't know what the exact requirements are, you can call and see"

Simply put, this is probably your first event you are putting on a site like this, I am just letting you know that if you do your part, and get all the info, then people will be more inclined to go.

Also, if you can get out there and possibly take some pics of the field, it would help us understand the kind of place we are playing in. Is it a speedball field with inflated obstacles, just a field with some trees and bushes, or a built up woodsball field like spat action (or better) that has towers, trenches, bunkers and the like?

hey im just as pissed. the damn field hasnt given any info out. this is their first airsoft game so i think they are sort of confussed about the whole shpeal. but from what i can figure is pretty much what you said above. and yes you are correct i should have done more research but unfortunately that is all i could pry out for now. um...for pics the field has a website http://www.pureadrenalinepaintball.com/ the type of field that the airsofters will be playing on is woods-ball. yeah the guys really dont know much about airsoft. they are still calling the guns "markers" but i think that this will be good for them to learn. there will be refs there (provided by the Shattered Angels paintball team). guys dont be too mean there may be kids as younge as 8. basic airsoft rules apply of if you are hit you are dead unless the bb bounces off a tree or ground, your buddy or even your gun; the bb must make dirrect contact with your person. more rules WILL be explained at the field its self on the day of the game since it is their filed and they decide what happens. now i was just looking at the flier and it says thats paintball style masks are required...i think thats crap, just as long as the goggles create a seal around your eyes they should work. if i missed anything feel free to keep yelling at me to tell me so :D

well i just found out the annoying news. goggles will not be allowed. apparently it goes against "paintball insurance" very VERY lame! cuz i know that a lot of you guys out there dont like paintball masks. but do remember that the mask is included with the field fee and its $5 dollars extra for a thermal mask. the paintball team Shattered Angels will be reffing the match. but further updates hopefully will make their way down the information highway to me. so i will try and keep everyone whos interested :D posted on further details.

Or airsoft insurance for that matter.........

Look at Combat Enterprises, they wear pball masks during their airsoft games. And he is about the only insured airsoft promoter around.

The problem IS paintball insurance companies are simply piggybacking airsoft onto their writers. So airsoft as a sport is simply being crammed into a "paintball" template. Full paintball face masks, no sniper rifles, lower fps standards, etc etc......

This is who I got my information from........and when asked if I was interested I simply said that their policy was to restrictive and not a real representation of airsoft.

I think most/all our team will pass on this opportunity.

The rules of the field are a little too restrictive for our team. More than happy to sign up for future events that are more inline with how we like to play.

Thanks for pulling a game together, glad to see that there is more happening in Washington.

Have a great day.

!!!!!!NEW NEWS!!!!!!!
ok so i finally found out what kind of scenerio is going to be going on during the game on sunday. it is going to be a BF2 (battlefield 2) type of game. there will be 2 teams (red team vs. blue team) and each team will have a general/commander. they will be issueing orders to their team and just like in the video game when a mission is completed the team will recieve points. now there are NO rounds so that means its a non-stop game. it goes from 10am-4pm non-stop. yes you can come in late but that just emans you wont get to play as much :D. thought peoples who were interested may have wanted to know that cuz it sounds like a ton of fun to me.

Sounds like Sector Control we do all the time at Scapoose...

Not to say that isn't a bad thing.

Sector control was robbed from the game Operation Flashpoint, which predates the BF games, but it's the same concept.
