That's because it has little, if anything with AP.

To everyone who came to learn-

I want to thank each and everyone of you for coming out. Without your ability to adapt, learn, and succeed; this weekend could not have went smoother. I asked you to bring your 'A' game, bad habits and all... and you came through. I hope I was able to take those habits from you, show them to you, and then show how to destroy them. Everyone screws up, that's why we train. I did not have a single bad feeling toward anyone, for anything they did; if you made a serious mistake, you paid. If it was serious enough- your whole team paid with you (even the pick-up teams from the individual classes). I remember the Intermediate class was having an issue identifying a threat and dealing with it. After two unsuccessful runs, I got pissed.. told them to hug the wall in the room in question. I had Rico give me the EXACT same scenario, no harder, no easier. I throw myself through the door, see Rico, yell "GUN" and as the "N" in Gun came out, I threw a tight group the size of a golf ball into Rico's chest cavity. All I heard were "Holy shit!" "Daayuuum" and Ka-Bar go "That was amazing!" I hope you learned something. I hope to see you at our future training sessions; and I hope you pull out all the stops for cqc6. Because I sure as hell am.

Actors-

Guys. Thanks. Honestly. Without you, we could not have been near successful.

Thanks to all of the folks that attended this training event. Your feedback is letting us know that we are definitely on the right track to meet your needs.

Overall I feel it was an outstanding effort on both the participant side and actor side. Everyone remained focused on why we were there and fell into the proper charactor to create the proper level of difficulty.

I had a great time, and we look forward to hosting similar events in the very near future.

Thanks guys (and woman folk). Without your participation, this event isn't possible.

Yeah, I have to thank the actors. Without their willingness to be shot, searched, man-handled, abused, and thrown against the wall, there would have been no event.

Seriously, thanks for being willing to go through such abuse for the benefit of others.

Sounds like everybody had a good time, I'm sure this training will foster some really serious competitive edge for CQC6. I can't wait to see how teams perform.

Thanks to all of Black Sierra for putting on a quality training event. It was comfortable and laid back. Unlike events where it is go time. It allowed us to experiment with some new stuff and tune up some old things.

Instruction was outstanding! When we were ready to run, we ran. If we needed to go back and crawl, we had the time to break things down. It was great to have the outside perspective checking out what we were doing wrong and right.

The things I liked best were not using bangs or any fancy gadgets to make entry. The training event relied soley on VOA for entries and room clearing. Lots of close quarter work and twists.

The something that I would like to work on in future training events would be approach to the building, like was needed in CQC3.

Looking forward to the next training event and CQC6.

Thanks for putting this on guys, it really gave everyone an oppurtunity to build/tune their skills, and I look forward to the next one. One of the great things was that there was really good feedback from the admins on what we did right and what we needed to work on, which was what a lot of us needed. The only thing that I would of liked to see was maybe do one or two more scenarios with breifings before the run, to get use to more then just LE. Maybe do a MOUT scenario in addition?

But like I said all in all a great day, and always good to get that outside and professional eye on what we are doing right and what we are doing wrong, thanks Postman. Just like now I know that a kydex holster without a thumb break is worthless, cause your pistol can be taken from you. Ya that one caused JJ's for the team.

I had a great time at this event. Thank you Matt for the training and getting into our faces and telling us what we needed to do.

That shot was sofa king amazing.

Thanks to the rest of Black Sierra for doing this, and all the actors.

Thanks once again to all the people that were running with me for making it fun.

Black Sierra,

Let me say that it was great to see a police style CQC event. Very different than what I am used to as a military soldier.

Did great at doing the "crawl", "walk" , and "run" training. You didn't preach SOP but looked at what WAR brought and gave suggestions on improvment, in which you pointed out why your improvment was better.

I think the whole community will benifit from your hard work. I learned alot from the event as well.... some highlights.

Slow Down.....not everyone can move like a ninja.

Don't laugh when given PT.

Sucking chest wounds are natures way of saying "Slow Down"

and... even instructors can sometimes learn a new trick.

I look forward to the next event.
