The guy setting it up is 36 for pete's sake. If he were closer, I would go with my kids.

We'd love to have ya!

Also... just to set the record straight I'm 31, not 38 as my profile had said (I've changed it) and not 36... Not like it makes a big difference...

Game Types

1. Capture the Flag
Team game where opposing teams try to steal and return the other teams flag. Can be played with 4 or more players. Players start at their base and wait for the match to begin at the sound of the start/stop whistle. Each team starts with three flags. Each player can only carry one flag at a time. When a player is shot they must drop the flag they're carrying and return to their home base. The game ends when one team has all six flags at their base. When this occurs the winning team blows the start/stop whistle and the match ends. High Capacity Magazines are allowed.

2. Death Match
Individual game that can be played by two or more players. This is a timed match and typically lasts for 10-20 minutes. Players disperse to opposite ends of the play area and wait for the starting whistle. When a player is shot they must re-set at one of the designated re-spawn points and wait for 1 minute before re-joining the match. The match ends when time is called and the start/stop whistle blows. There is no hit count limit and no limit to the number of times a player can re-spawn. High Capacity Magazines are allowed.

3. Team Death Match
Team game played by 4 or more players. Team-killing is allowed but is not looked on kindly by your team-mates.

4. King of the Hill
Individual game played by two or more players. The "King" is given an area to defend. This area must be protected for 5 minutes or until all attacking forces have been shot. The player that kills the "King" is designated the new "King" in following rounds. Any "King" that survives three or more rounds consecutively wins "Overlord" status. High Capacity Magazines are allowed.

5. Last Man Standing
Individual game played by 2 or more players with no time limit. All players disperse to opposite sides of the play area and wait for the start/stop whistle. When a player is shot they must exit the play area and wait for the next match to begin. As each player exits the field they must shout out their player number and that they are out of play. Typically "Player 3 is OUT". This allows the remaining players to keep track of who's left. The winner of the match is the last player left un-shot.

6. Mutant
Hybrid game. One player is designated the MUTANT by order of the most accurate shot on a standard target or by other shooting contest. The MUTANT is allowed 1 high capacity magazine. All other players are limited to one low capacity magazine. The game begins with the MUTANT getting a 5 minute head start. The start/stop whistle then blows and all remaining players work as a team to hunt the MUTANT down and shoot it. To kill the MUTANT it must be shot by no less than 10 solid hits. The MUTANT can shoot all other players. All other players can be killed by a single shot from the MUTANT. The MUTANT must keep track of its own hits and call them out as they occur. The player who delivers the 10th and final hit to the MUTANT becomes the next MUTANT.

another major red flag.

anyone notice his velocity limits???

and being as rabid squirrel is not a NWAL represented team or promotions company, should they really be advertizing a game that does not comply to NWAL standards?

If I remember correctly, AP agreed that no games may be posted that do not meet standard safety rules for AP/NWAL. This one is Matt's call.

Yes, you two please argue about this one after Matt determines if it is valid or not?

Matt's posted in this thread and didn't seem to have a problem with it, your plastic knife fight belongs in off topic like any other NON-airsoft event, but don't you worry Morgan you are and always will be the victim of a double standard. poor you.

Me and mine will not be attending this game.

Thank you for your hard work, though.
Please buy your gear from Rick Fisher; perhaps he can buy a Life.

I would say you are really kinda promoting to the wrong audiance. We all for the most part live down in Oregon, and there is also a conflict with a game already scheduled for the same day. I personally don't care about the FPS limits or age allowances, though I fear the combination of the two. I will not be in attendance for the simple reason that it is too far for too little. If you were promoting a large op, I might have been interested, as that is about the only thing (airsoft related) that will get me to drive to Seattle for one weekend.

Wow.

Such a fuss over a simple little event.

If this board is primarly people in Oregon, where can I find people in Washington. I figured this was "AirSoft Pacific" so Pacific included Oregon Washington and California.

Also, I'm not looking to do another clone mil-sim even or any future event of that nature. I'm looking to enter a different segment where a slightly more relaxed atmosphere is involved.

No taking orders, no drills, and no pretending to be in an army of any kind. Those things are fine and can be fun but they're not what I'm after. I want to provide a safe, structured enviornment for training and lightly coordinated games. I certianly am not trying to compete with Battlesim or Evergreen airsoft but instead offer a differnt kind of Airsoft game to those who don't want to play Army.

Its looking more and more, given the zero response I've gotten back from this via e-mail and some of the negitive feedback I've gotten here that this may not be the right avenue for me to pursue to setup my Seattle Area games.

I'm going to let this one ride and try again later in April. If that doesn't work either then I'll change tactics and leave AirSoft Pacific alone.

Thanks everyone for chiming in. I guess I'll see how many turn out on the 14th.

Guys, non-affiliated games happen all over the world, and many of them have rules that deviate from ours. Private/Unofficial Games is here for those games to be posted. The only games that get removed from this thread are the ILLEGAL games. If some kid posts about a game on public land and we have reason to believe he doesn't have permission, we remove the thread. Rabid, you are correct, this is Airsoft PACIFIC... It's the perfect place to post your event and many event organizers on WA post events here to get more interest.

One thing I did leave out. This even IS on PRIVATE land. That's the reason I'm not broadcasting its address or exact location. I've negotiated with the land owner to allow AirSoft Play on their 20+acre forest land. The last thing I want is to make this too easy to find. I have to think of and respect the land owners privacy and think of his security.

I mean lets face it, to the general public AirSoft players can look pretty intimidating.

Also, while I will be notifying the Maple Valley Sherriff that this event is occuring including where exactly and when, I do have to respect the laws of Maple Valley as well which say that AirSoft is forbidden on public land.

What I'm attempting is the first event of its kind in my area. I'm not "official" with any AirSoft organization or club and I'm not affiliated with any, that may be something I'll look into into in the future but I'm small time right now. There's nothing local out here in the South End of Seattle and I'm trying something new so I and any Seattle area AirSofters can get together and have a good safe time.

I realliy appreciate the Moderator and Webmaster support on this and I do realize that nobody knows me yet so caution is the word of the day.

Thats cool. I'll put pics of the April 14th event up and everyone can decide for themselves.

Jumping down your throat is what people like to do around here.
It makes them look like they actually know what they are talking about. but they dont.
Just ignore them. Thats what I do.

:)

Have a good time playing airsoft. Since thats what this site is really about, playing airsoft and having fun.

The wonderful thing about Airsoft growing is that there are all kinds of different games going with all kinds of people coming to them. I am sure there is a growing non-milsim market but the majority of player do get into airsoft because of the milsim nature of the game. Evergreen is kinda in the middle and we (Battlesim) are very much into the simulation aspect of the game along with most of the major teams and clubs in the area. Most people who play airsoft do so because they want to play army. Paintsoft (what you are describing) is not popular among the tacsim and milsim community. The reason being is that most people in all honesty don't want airsoft going in the direction that you are taking it. I think that you will find the current airsoft community will generally give you a cold shoulder when promoting these types of games. Please note, that I say "most" as I am sure there is a growing community of players who simply want to play capture the flag games with realisitc looking weapons and civilian clothes but many of those players play in their backyards, family property or without permission on pubic or private land. So I am glad there is an alternative for these players.

I was actually thinking of getting a group together to go play but unfortunately the style of play you are promoting is excatly the opposite of what we like doing. We have a private events section on our board that you are free to post on and I would go ahead and post it over on Evergreen's private events section as well. We do.

As for tips in the promoting and runnning of airsoft games, the best thing to do is to start attending local games so people know who you are. The airsoft community is very much about reputation. If you don't have one people generally assume the worst as you can see here.

In any case, good luck. Let us know how it goes. Don't expect massive turn outs but just keep plugging along. Just stick with it and it will grow. If you have games that your customers enjoy, they will come back. Those who don't, won't.
