[color=red]Mission 1
[i]The first phase of the day including the following objectives for Mugambi: Capture the oil refinery and the oil refinery workers, protect our village and basecamp, and fire mortars on the enemy base.

A team of the Washington PSAC locals who made up our mercenary squad went for the oil refinery mission and managed to capture the 2 workers from the plant, but unfortunately near the end of the mission we didn’t hold the refinery. (I’m not really sure if that was part of the objective or not). We ended up tying the oil workers to a tree so they wouldn’t run away. You guys know them as Angelo and Annie, they came up with our group to play special roles for the OP and did an excellent job if I might add. You could hear Annie screaming “let us go!â€

One of the Marines had skirted around under the edge of the ridge out of sight of our infantry, but he ended up about three feet from the front of my barrel. I safety killed him, though that meant that we had our position blown

I took your guys out behind that log too, by flanking left. But I never saw you there........... ;)

Talking about this stuff makes me realize, I think I had more fun at this OP than any other I have been to.

Yeah, that's why I posted it. GS2 was some of the most fun I've ever had at an airsoft game - on and off of the field.

So here's my question...

Had this been in the works for some time or did Hellmutt see some of our GSII signatures and decide to carry on the name? :D

I've been waiting for GSIII for 2 years now. I was hoping it was going to happen the year we ran KP24, but like most airsoft communities, there were complications. But now it is 2007 and airsoft is bigger and better then ever. We have been working closely with ScottJ (PSAC founder) and REMF and they are 100% on board! Scott told me that he always wanted to do a GSIII but getting the manpower needed to run a large scale operation is difficult. By combining our resources we have enough solid staff, props, vehicles and roles players to hold a large regional event worthy of the name Gallant Saber.

GSII really helped set the standard for immersive, realistic milsim airsoft in the Northwest. A rich story line with developed characters and realistic mission objectives combined with special effects and role players made GSII a memorable experience. We want to continue that legacy and deliver a fantastic experience for milsim enthusiasts.

What are the uniform distinctions?

OD - Mugambi International Guard (former Mugambi Commandos led by VanHoosling)
ACU/WOODLAND - US Army Rangers
MARPAT - US Marines
CIVILIAN - Civilians and Peoples Liberation Amry of Mugambi (PLA)
OTHER - Teams that can field 10 players in specific country camo may come as long as it is not OD or Civilian

'm sorry but i didn't see a location. and what's the expected turnout size?

It will be in Washington State. Exact AO has not been decided on. Size? A lot.
damn. May is out of the question for me. I am already taking 3 days off that month, I doubt they'll give me anything else.

It will be on a Saturday night and Sunday. If you get weekends off, no extra time off. :)

sounds awesome pls dont say its 18 and up

It's 16+ open registration. Players younger will need to be approved by game staff. We typically don't have an age limit, just a maturity limit. For example, if you have a younger team member but he is a responsible known community player - he'll get in. If you are a kid who shows up to games with anything white on, (shirts, hats, shoes. . ) with an lpeg, this is not the game for you. If you are a lone wolf or a player who doesn't know how to follow directions, this event is not for you. Notice I don't say orders because this is pretend and in order to work people have to follow other people's directions. So if you can act like and adult and play like and adult - you can get in. And just because you are over 18 doesn't mean your an adult - we expect everyone to act live adults regardless of their age.

That's pretty cool Hellmutt. I'll probably end up coming. I had a blast at GSII so I wouldn't want to miss this one.
