Just found my old dossier:

Name: Johan Karl-Heinz VanHoosling
Birthplace: Lucapa, Mugambi
DOB: Unknown
Marital Status: Married
Current Office: Supreme Leader and President for Life of the Republic of Mugambi (OK, it actually says Commanding Officer, 1st Commando Regiment)
Political Inclination: Devout Marxist

Education:
Degree in Military Affairs, Kuibyshev Military Academy, Moscow USSR, 1985
Graduate of the US Army School of the Americas, Ft. Benning, GA 1987
Graduate, Red Army Institute for Counter-Insurgency Operations, Sverna USSR 1988
Graduated Karl Marx School for Socialist Equality, Erfurt East Germany 1990

Experience:
Joined the Peoples Liberation Army of Mugambi for mandatory service in 1980.
Selected for service with the Commando Mugambi, 1980.
Attended Red Army Airborne and Combat Divers Courses in Rivfko and Archangel, USSR 1981
Commissioned as a Lieutenant in 1981. Assigned as a Platoon Commander in the 1st Commando Regiment.
Participated in Counter-Insurgency Operations in several tribal uprisings, and is believed to have participated in several operations in Angola and Congo along with a cadre of Commandos and Cuban Troops.
Developed a reputation as an effective officer in suppressing insurgencies using brutal methods. Known to resort to violence disproportionate to level of provocation.
Selected to participate in Red Army Officer Exchange Program in 1983. Served in Afghanistan in and around Kabul.
Returned to 1st Commando Regiment as a Captain where he served as a Company Commander.
1988 Served as the Attache for Military Affairs with the Mugambi Diplomatic Mission to East Germany.
Graduated from the former Soviet School for Special Action Programs, 1990
Reassigned to 1st Commando as Executive Officer 1991
Promoted to Major in 1998, Assumed command of the 1st Commando Regiment.

Other Information:
VanHoosling has participated in actions outside of Mugambi to include aiding the communist insurgencies in Chad and Angola, as well as serving with the Red Army in Afghanistan. Unconfirmed reports have VanHoosling and several of his officers and senior enlisted men serving alongside of Cuban Troops operating in Nicaragua. VanHoosling and his cadre are known to have "disappeared" for several months at a time, and it is not outside of reason that these men spent time training FARC and Shining Path Insurgents in Colombia and Peru respectively.

Now for some of my own updating:

Current Status:
After the death of Mugambis former President, VanHoosling assumed the Presidency. After driving driving the US Marines back into the sea with an intense insurgency operation, VanHoosling is believed to have sold the oil and mineral rights of the Peoples Republic of Mugambi to Total Fina Elf for $100,000,000,000. VanHoosling immediately bought a private island in the South Pacific and departed the country after distributing the fortune to his surviving men. He spends his time laughing and counting his money on his private, solid gold beach.

Too bad I can't make this game. I had a blast last time.

There's a reason the Mugambi rebels in the new one are going to be wearing MARPAT and toting SCARs, M4's, SAWs and the like. :D

Traditionally it changes, for the first GS, San Marco forces wore OD and US Forces wore woodland bdu. In GC2, Mugambi forces wore OD and USMC wore woodland bdu and woodland MARPAT.

I guess the moral of the story is the OPFOR wears OD, and US Forces wear whatever applies to the branch of service being portrayed.

(And help me out here guys, my memory can falter at times, but I believe that is correct for GC.)

Also in GC2, the merc force, wore tiger stripe.

If I can figure out a way to go to the OSK game on the 5th then go up after that I'm down. The feedback sounds good, even though I have no clue what it's about. Checked both forums.
