We're had multiple incidents where people in the community have tried to get a balanced media story in the local news, but they always end up presenting as in a bad light.

I thought about it - but thought that it would be better to just do this, raise some toys, drop them off at a toy collection centre, and then start thinking about the next event. I agree, with the 'right' coverage, it could help our hobby - with the 'wrong' coverage it could hurt it - and no matter what, it would cheapen the event by detracting from its primary function - raise toys for underprivilidged children.
