How will that be different from your regular "tactilol" beard? Shape the ends of the moustache into a curl? If so, my former studio mate has a whole line of mustache wax to get your tool Dastardly curls in. :)

PM's are back downrange...and sorry I've been out of the loop for the last few days.

Work work work...etc.

Jeremy and I are working on the final role aspects as per the offers we have had for acting. This will be low budget, but it should be a good challenge and quite a lot of fun. (ie: remember, this is free and we are conjuring fun out of thin air :] )

Update: Player guides and mission info will be out by Jan 1 for all teams and OPFOR. Rules will be very similar to the first Impression game. As with the first Impression, there will be down time. This is exists for a reason. We want to ensure that all teams have the time available to conduct final gear checks, mission planning, practice reaction to contact drills, actions on the objective, and cover any other on-site training that may be required. The big change and why the delay, for player packages is because Bill and I took a hard look at past respawn rules and completely tossed them. They suck, don’t work for the event, and are the total opposite of "mil-sim". So out the window they went.... every single concept we have used to date. We are going to try a whole new concept and see how the airsoft community likes it and if it wants to keep it.

Basically.... there is no respawn. Instead game play and hits will work like this...

Hit and Respawn rules.

The first BB impact to any area covered by hard armor, Sapi plates and helmet, you get to brush it off and keep gunning.

A second BB impact to any area covered by hard armor will be a pass through and count as a "wounding" hit.

Any Impact to an area on the body which is not protected by hard armor will count as a "wounding" hit.

When a player sustains a "wounding" hit, the player will lie in place, stop engaging and call "hit" until a team medic arrives to preform aid.

The medic will remove a card from the wounded players left shoulder pocket and on that card will be the player's injury. The medic will have to conduct proper buddy aid for the injury using items from a "training IFAC" (as defined). If the injury would require immediate medivac, a medevac 9 line must be given via radio to the COC. Once the proper aid has been rendered, and a medevac 9 line given if needed, the player will be allowed to continue the fight.

First aid will be supervised by the team assigned admin (BSP staff) and must meet their standards of acceptance.

Training IFAC will include the following:

1x Training tourniquet. (SOF-T style, replica ok)
1x Israeli/ field dressing style bandage
2x Cravats

-Field dressing and cravats must be in a Ziploc bag.
-bandages do not have to be in individual wrappers.

Bandages and cravats can be had new for less than $20.00 total
Emerson makes TQs for those who don’t have spares laying around for $13.00 (please don’t use these in real emergencies as they likely will not work.) (real TQs once used, should be regligated to training use only, even if the have never been fully tightened.

-The plan is to use these kits at every follow on event.
-TQ safety breif will be given durring safety breif at each game with demonstration and BSP staff will ensure that no TQ will be tightened to any level that could stop blood flow. These will be applied and then removed after treatment standards have been met.
-OPFOR will not need a training IFAC.

OPFOR will be playing by a different set of rules. We want to press upon the USFOR that time on objective is critical. You have to balance the on objective needs with the risk the chance of counter attack ether on the objective itself or the movement from the objective. Understand that regardless if you are in Iraq, Afghanistan or NYC, gunfights draw the people that live arround the area to see what happened, just like a bad car wreck. In this event, you will be dealing with unarmed locals, and armed OPFOR. Each with their own equally important roles to play.

Teams are going to have to do time management and risk assessments in their team planning to be successful. They are going to make sure team mates understand what the ROEs are and understand that if they fail to meet those ROEs there could be problems as a result. These problems could drasticly effect mission accomplishment. Nothing is going to be easy. This will not be some bb slug fest and the event’s scenarios will require all the teams’ players to be thinkers before shooters. For many hosts in airsoft there is a definitive difference between real world training and a game. For BSP, we have made that line a bit blurry in the past. Now we are making those lines even more blurry. That being said, BSP will not pass on ANY SOPs or TTPs that could put war fighters down range in jeopardy in any way shape or form. Infact TTPs and SOPs will not be discussed... period.

The more realistic it is the better. As long as no one gets harmed, lets have a good game.

One for the Rangers! Also, if anyone near Portland/Milwaukie would be willing to pick me up on your way out, I'd be grateful and happy to give you gas money.

Are the training IFAK's to be supplied (based on the using for future events note) or are we to supply them? Does it have to be the specific items listed, or can we use different items that fulfill the same requirements (say triangle bandage with an abdominal pad underneath instead of the field dressing). Do we just need 1 IFAK per team, or one per person?

For this event, I will leave it up to the teams. Players can supply their own individual kits and provide buddy aid as needed, or you can build a team kit and have a designated medic carry the kit and provide aid. We (BSP) cant possibly afford to supply 13+ players with "training IFACs" without charging for the event, as it would run us almost $700.00 to build them all. We want to be able to keep these events free of charge as much as possible. When we do spend funds, we would like to buy props that are really going to enhance the game play such as dummy SA-7s, IED simulators, dummy mortar systems, comm systems and so on. I will see if I can personally put together a loaner kit but no promisises at this point.

As for modding the list, you can mod them but the kit listed is designed to allow you to treat all injuries that we have planned for while being as cost effective as possible.

Again, OPFOR will not be using or needing these kits.
