Wow, those are some serious lists and a little intimating. Being on a buget I am trying to prioritize and build up to a list like that. So what I am thinking of getting then is a little zippo hand warmer, the mountaineering food, a little butane burner for water for said food, and a radio if I can afford it. This should leave me with a place to sleep, stuff to eat, and a way to stay warm when not cuddling with others for heat only related purposes. I am assuming we can leave gear at the MOUT and just lug around bars, bbs, and such.

That is a gear list to be out for 48hrs with only water and ammo being resupplied. So, for this event its over doing it quite a bit. I also over pack like a meanie. But its something to build toward. A lot of us have been doing this for a long time so we've accumulated it over the years. There's almost more/something else to get and you always change shit.

I assume there will be somewhere to dumb our gear we don't need to play(camping stuff). When we were staying in the MOUT site at a past event, I just repacked all my stuff into my ruck and put it in a corner.

Just come out with one set of clothing and be wet, filthy and disgusting, it feels great.

Being on a budget, here is what I would make sure to bring 100%

-Uniform for faction you signed up for, also cold weather gear for night ops/unforeseen weather changes

-Replica that meets whatever class you are signed up for, with enough mid-cap magazines to sustain you for an hours worth of fighting

-BB's (and lots of them)

-Batteries/Gas: Whatever your replica runs on, make sure you bring extra. Nothing worse than having your only battery die 3hrs into the day. LiPos are cheap, buy a bunch

-Water: Bring at least 2 gallons of it (Gallon bottles are less than $1 each at Safeway). This allows you to keep your water vessel filled (don't forget your water vessel), and fill others that aren't as prepared as you are

-Food: Bring enough food to sustain yourself for 12hrs in the field. While lunch and dinner are provided, it may not be at a time you would want to eat. Nothing worse than having a grumbling stomach in the middle of an ambush. Also make sure you bring bland food that won't screw with your stomach. Even worse than your stomach grumbling during an ambush is when you get the brown flood during an assault. If you are diabetic or susceptible to hypoglycemia, make sure you bring lots of sugar filled snacks and protein.

-Sleep system: Sleeping pad, sleeping bag. Something to allow you to get some shut-eye

-Eye protection: ANSI Z87.1 approved eye protection. Face protection is optional but recommended.

-Radio: If you are in a position of leadership, bring a radio. If not, don't worry about it. The less people on the COMMS network, the better. By this same token, if you bring a radio, please make sure you know how to use it, and proper radio etiquette.

-Flashlight: Bring a source of light for night time. Red and white preferred. Weapon mounted and non-mounted are recommended.

-Socks: Keep your feet in the fight.

-Boots: No tennis shoes or sneakers.

-Underwear: Nothing worse than getting heat rash during a long sweaty event

-Trash Bag: Pack out what you pack in. SERIOUSLY. DO EET.

That's the bare minimum I would bring to this style event. Others will bring more, some less. But if you want to be covered, this should do it.

It is required however we are not going to babysit anyone on this issue. It's your teeth, your skin.

Looks like OPFOR has NATO out numbered (84 of 95 OPFOR) (62 of 95 NATO). Still NATO has a much better participation in the FB Private Groups and that means better planning and coordination. If you haven't please sign in.

- NATO FORCES PRIVATE GROUP -

NATO Team could still use some headcount. More SAW gunners would also be a nice add.

No, my friend had what was needed for OPFOR and not NATO, so I figured I might as well play OPFOR too. I borrowed some money and bought some M81 BDUs

I don't mind though, I suppose having an actual camo and not ranger green pants and a black polo is a good thing
