We didn't keep score. It's fun to just play out a scenario and complete objectives.

I believe Phiz got shot but that was it.

I did loose my 2 of my best heal rags by the 3 log forts if anyone found them. They are athlete foot issued socks (unwashed). So if you did find them be carefully. It might take weeks to get rid of that smell.

Taken from the first page of the thread:

Event Features:
Scenario based gameplay
Command Structure
Objectives
Milsim Style Experience
Unit/Group Play
Props

-NO SECTOR CONTROL-

So, we got a "scenario" that didn't really matter to the days events. It was a run and gun, hump a tree and phony pony at each other kind of day.

Command structure was provided by volunteers and degraded during the course of Saturday due to the lopsidedness of the event.

Objectives weren't hidden or really matter. As far as I'm aware, the Military secured 0 drugs...

Milsim Style Experience: Ummmmm, I've never been in the military, but pretty sure this is NO WHERE near being in the military.

Unit/Group play: This is how all games go, so why are you calling it out like something special only you can provide?

Props: Zip lock baggies of plastic crystals and white powder... Yay! So creative and innovative...

And the biggest lie of them all: -NO SECTOR CONTROL- Please explain how you can say no sector control, but than have 2 of the objectives be to take and secure SECTOR MARKERS? Sorry, but when you expect people to control areas and fight over poles with sirens on them, that's the definition of sector control.

I'll keep coming to your games. I like shooting people. But don't promote your events as something they are not. Your events are catered towards the younger COD fans who get mommy to buy them airsoft guns. I get it. It makes you money. You've got something working, because you constantly have players showing up. But don't sprinkle glitter on a piece of shit. It's still a piece of shit. I'd rather you bill your game as a day of shoot'em up. Just run, and gun. But when you make promise that aren't even prevalent from the get go, you tend to piss people off. If your game isn't going well, don't wait until the last hour to change things up.

I’m not intentionally stealing the thunder from our FARC Commander Phiz … I’m sure he will post up his AAR shortly, but I wanted to him a give a huge shout-out for stepping up to the Command role for FARC. He did a superb job leading the FARC Team during this event. I’m sure everyone enjoyed his inspirational pregame briefing as much as I did. Nice job Phiz you tried a new approach and it paid off 130%.

He could not have done this without the help of Ricochet, (XO of PF) who was Phiz’s XO and RTO for this event. Ricochet was running the command net, PF net- 6 squads, + 2 other squad and the admin channel. Leadership is key but a great team is critical … FARC was a Great Team.

Unknown to most ... hopefully, there were two real word injuries (one Green and one Yellow, not emergencies … no bleeder’s or compound fractures) that took place during the event and if you didn’t hear about it that's good. The Squad leaders with the injured handled it very well, no need to shut down the game for these injuries, nice job guys. Needless to say we have heard from both, glad your guys are ok, sore yes but ok. You have the winter to heal and get ready for next season.

Back to the Game:
Yellow did an outstanding job in the first half … you took the Satellite Bunker and not 30 minutes later you overran and took the Drug Lab … both super tough objectives!!!! You also came dangerously close multiple times to overrunning the Village. We did shut you down in the end … and maybe taking advantage of your 2nd Respawn – Annex earlier would have kept you on top. It’s always a pleasure going up against F.O.A.D and the teams they run with.

Phiz’s new approach put a Phantom Fury member in a Squad Leader Position for 7 of the 9 squads we ran. The other two squads were SpecDet1 and SOTA who we have played with at local as well as regional … it was great running with your guys and you can post your own cliff notes, I’d expect nothing less from you. For me this is about the FARC players that jumped behind the 7 PF squad leaders during the Saturday Morning briefing when we divided into squads.

My squad, First Squad … you guys were awesome, I know it started out a bit slow, but we all had a job to do and you stuck with it. I checked with my Team Saturday night and heard similar reports from Highlife, Blackhawk, Grimjaw, Llama, Mole and Cowgirl the other FARC SL’s. Everyone FARC player did an outstanding job and I truly hope you learned something from the experience.

I know it was a bit different, having to rely on a SL for orders … but in turn they were waiting on orders from Command. We did not run this event as the typical Airsoft game and it paid off. I am very interested in any FARC member’s feedback. Please feel free to give us feedback on this forum openly, send any PF member a PM or email us at admin@phantomfuryairsoft.com.

Riddick – thanks for another fun event and please pass on our thanks to the field owner.

What Crossbow said.

Kudos to XO Ricochet for manning 6 channels and helping with command decisions. FARC leadership was a joint effort. Kudos to the squad leaders for stepping out of your comfort zone and getting the job done.

But mostly a big shout out to the squads for forming teams and acting like a team. I asked you to sacrifice yourself for your teammates, and you came through. I saw a lot of bonding happening at the squad level and a lot of respect going around. It feels good when you know someone has your back, we need to encourage that.

Yellow team you just about broke us. You fought really hard the first half, we barely held on. Nail biting. Our radios and QRF was the only thing that kept you out of the village. A big shout out to all the players on yellow for the 100% efforts.

Overall I liked the game and objectives. We basically stuck to our initial plan. Yellow didn't utilize the second spawn as we predicted, other than that it was pretty good.

My last shout out to Cyclops and his previous post on playing with honor. I tried my best to convey that at our company briefing. Hope your hip is feeling better soon and is not broken.

Sustain:
1. Squad leaders and forming groups, flying the flag and pride in teamwork.
2. Having a number of spawns available throughout the field. Would like to see even more available all over the field.
3. Escort missions, would like to see more mid-game objectives.
4. Would like to see longer play time, more attrition and play right into dark.

Improve:
*** ROF Rules *** - big fan of semi only, it makes a SAWs actually matter.
1. Commanders of opposite teams should be on coms with each other and work together to resolve shit.
2. Less drama. Oh wait this is bz-bz-warz. pew pew pew.
3. Brief all squad leaders as embedded admins.

Thanks again to Rick for putting on another fun event, I look forward to the next one.

Last, I want to remind everyone that we are LARPing here. Honor the men and women who have done (and are doing) the real shit in whatever way you think is appropriate.

Phiz out.

Other than listening to my buddy piss and moan all day, side "A"bitching about side "B", and side "B" bitching about side "A", and me starting retarded drama, and it being cold as shazaam at night, I had a great time. I shot FOADies, was shot by FOADies, was groped by Derpies AND FOADies, slung a lot of plastic, and got to chill with some of my favorite peeps.
