I wouldn't use it. For a great starter gun buy a G&G Combat machine, you really can't go wrong. G&G makes great guns yet the combat machine is still cheap enough that it won't cost you to much.

For that price that would be a good starter gun. Then you will have an idea of what you like and don't like for your next gun. comes with battery and charger how ever you will want a different charger I'm sure since most likely this charger will take hours to charge that battery. I'd say go for. Then next gun get a G&G or KWA...

Well I traded some RC gear for a WE 1911 that is now having a slide jam issue ofter being cleaned and a TM knock off glock that does alright but the kid gave me a smart charger so charging is not an issue =) Ive been looking at the G&G aswell not sure how I feel about the Polymer body. Doesnt Tac-Ops Use the Poly guns for their loners?

Cheap metal AEGs use cheap pot-metal. Polymer is better than pot-metal. If you can't afford an expensive premium metal bodied AEG, there's nothing wrong with polymer.

Well is a gross company.

Definitely try the G&G Raider. I've had two. Keep trading them because if I have anything over 4 months the government tracks me and sends drones.

Go with the G&G. I've had two guns made by them and they always functioned flawlessly. (Use to own the same gun I recommended to you) polymer is going to be stronger then any metal gun unless you want to spend $300 and yes the tac ops guns are polymer

Welcome to world of bbwarz.

G&G's sportsline series, the Combat Machine, is a great starter rifle. They're light due to the polymer body which can stand a beating, shoot 340 +/- 10 FPS, which is perfect for outside shenanigans or shooting children inside, and it's an AR-15 model, which is a platform that can take lots of accessories and such.

buy it. give into peer pressure.

Coming from one who has the premium metal body AEG, I can say there is a definite difference between upper level metal AEGs like VFC, SOCOMgear (Rebranded VFCs) and entry level pot metal bodies. Go with a polymer bodied G&G for sure.

I've always liked the Dboys Metal M4's. I've had 3 over they years and they were all great.

I personally would recommend against an entry level AR/M4. If you do get one, the Combat Machines have a good reputation but the only one I've encountered failed so often and consistently that the owner got so fed up that declared they were quitting. Don't know if they followed up on that or not.

But of the AEG's that I've owned my China AK has been a work horse. I've abused it, scratched it, let it rust, dissembled it but put it all back together and it still works great.
If you want to stick to that price point I'd get one of the many varieties of China AK's. Dboy's Ak's have a good following, and people seem to swear by them. Please note I have no direct experience with this manufacturer.

If weight and length is a concern for you you might want to look at the APS UAR.
The Gearbox is the common Version 3 with some modifications. Primarily to allow it to be adopted into a bull-pup shell and a quick spring change feature. An AEG I own has this feature and it makes working on it a dream. But I must point out that the mag well on this tends to be temperamental because of how the Gearbox sits inside of it. The modification is simple to do to allow the use of any mag though.
Again no direct experience with this companies products.

If you want to stick with the version 2 gearbox, by all means stick to an AR, but the G3 and MP5 both use the same box.
The G3 has a long barrel and highly upgradable internals and an optic can be mounted with the use of a rail adapter plate. The G3 also has a large space for batteries. Again no direct use of this companies products.

So please look at other models before you choose. The M4 is everywhere, overbought, and over used. Hell I own one, and all I've done tell you to look at other models. But I do like my M4, it feels nice in the hand. However if I really wanted to I can go on a rant about it's ergonomics, layout, and its overall design.
I'm a major chairsofter, sorry about that.

Thank you Tank that was really helpful I lean towards M4 style because I do like the shape and feel of the guns I had a candy store day today going to the Airsoft Outlet in Cornelius if only I didnt have bills lol =P im still doing my research and looking what really appeals to me.

I should also include for my first one I would like something that is 350FPS so I can use it indoors =)

If you're leaning towards the full metal option, look at the AGM full metal m4a1. I can't speak for the manufacturer as a whole, and I know that a lot of cheep Chinese full metal bodies are questionable at best, but I have one that works like a champ, the metal body is surprisingly sturdy and the gearbox has some sturdy construction, metal bushings and spring guide and such. One version has a two piece metal RIS that works great. Just thought I'd throw that in :)
