I'm sure you're all familiar with the short story "The Most Dangerous Game" by richard connel however in case you aren't the basics are, there is an older man who lives on a private island who first takes care of castaways and then sets them out on their own in the jungle so he can hunt them. Only the thrill and danger of human prey excites him.
What are your thoughts on the hosting of a game along these lines? It would have to be in state forest, a multi day event. and run with small groups. Basics would be the prey (say a small amount of players with nothing more but a spring pistol with one mag and whatever survival gear they would like for the next few days in the woods) would have a 2-4 hour headstart and then the groups hunting them would be sent out after them.
Obviously people getting lost would be a major concern which is why this would be limited to adults with some amount of land-nav experience. This could possibly continue for multiple days straight (time limit set for survival of the prey say 72 hours until victory) and would require the participants to camp in the forest and be 100% self sufficient.
Suggestions? Support? Concerns?
