Need Help! Anti-fog eyewear

Postby Kenny079 » Sun Feb 17, 2013 11:54 pm

Does anyone know where I could get a high quality or cheap anti-fog goggles?
And one more question, that stated "anti-fog" goggles really have the capable of fogging?

I have stumbled across a website that sells stuff really cheap and I am interested in this: http://www.airsoft2u.com/daisy-c3-eye-g ... p-530.html, but I'd like to know whether anyone has personal experience with purchases at this website. As I don't want to waste my money and looking for something cheap. Hope that you guys can give me some feedback so myself or other people can make sure whether it is safe or valuable to buy. Or do any of you have a preference/suggestion regarding some good quality, comfortable goggles?

Thanks ahead of time for your help.

Anti-fog eyewear is just going to have a coating applied at the factory. It doesn't last forever. $23 is pretty steep for a regular old set of shooting glasses like that, you can get just as good of a deal buying shooting glasses at any local sporting goods store. The link you posted is a store in Hong Kong, you're going to pay a lot for shipping something that you can easily get right here in the US, assuming you're based in the US. And you can buy anti-fog spray or stuff like cat crap, although several people have home remedies like dish soap or shaving cream that they swear by.

Edge Eyewear, located here in Utah, makes a series of glasses with something called "Vapor Shield." At the local airsoft store, WeaponBlender, they sold out of their entire stock of VS glasses in less than a week.

I've used them. No fog, no condensation, nothing. As long as beads of sweat don't drip down on the glasses, you'll be crystal clear all day long. Other than WB's website, you can't find much online. I actually went to Edge's walk in store in Layton and purchased a pair of "Fast Links" for seventeen bucks. The glasses came with a microfiber storage bag.

Here's a video. The woman annoys the piss outta me, but it's worth the watch.

VS is a coating, but the employees at Edge said that it's pretty tough stuff. By the time the coating wears off you should be getting new glasses anyway. Just make sure to only clean them with a microfiber cloth and water, as any other cleaning solvent might dissolve the coating.

Also, please use the search function. As with any general airsoft question, it likely has been asked before and answered as well. You are likely to get more information doing a little research in a shorter amount of time than starting a new thread and waiting for replies.

I second the Grunt series by Saveface. I have used these for a few months now and wow what a great set of goggles. They resist fogging because the lens if set off the front of the goggle body enough to let air pass threw the slots and yet a tight enough gap not to allow a BB to enter. I have purchased one for me and a few for my friends. These goggles even work well with a lower mesh mask.

I know Oregon Airsoft Arena had received 50 pair 2 weeks ago and sell out all the time. They run in the $30.00 price range but do not fog. Even with my lard butt.

They are $25 at Thunderkiss in Vancouver. I am gonna get a pair soon, even though I am a hard core mesh goggle fan, my friend has had such good luck with them that I'll get some for the R&R game.
