From painball to airsoft

Postby MrGoofie » Thu Jan 31, 2013 8:24 pm

Hi, my name is Ryan. I am 27 years old. I recently moved from Washington DC to Yakima. I was in the Navy for the last 8 years and got out in December. While in DC I started playing paintball. But since it is expensive to play it is hard to play regularly. I have been playing paintball for about 2 years. But now I want to play a more realistic milsim. I don't have any equipment yet, but when I do I am willing to travel to almost anywhere in Washington and most of Oregon. I am glad to find this place and glad to be part of the community. I hope to see you on the field. Thank you!

Welcome to airsoft. I did a similar thing. Paintballed for a few years, but way to expensive. Airsoft is more affordable in the short run, but way more expensive in the long run if you get into gear whore wars lol.

Thanks, guys. I notice that a couple of you are from Portland area. What are some places to buy gear around town? I rather see and hold an AEG before purchasing. Also what about playing fields in the area? I know of Camp R&R. Thanks again.

So do they hurt so bad that you call it "painball" or is that a typo?

(asks the guy that played paintball for 20 years)

I didn't even realize That I spelled it wrong. Usually I am a better speller. Oh well... I love the adrenaline rush on being shot at. It doesn't hurt one bit. The worse shot I ever taken was to the forehead from about 20 feet away.
