I'd have to say either L/RM4's. I was Wendyland and the SOTA guys were willing to let a couple guys shoot theirs (thanks again) and I gotta say, it was such a cool airsoft gun to fire. Had a good weight, excellent range and accuracy, and had just a little kick to it. The start up cost for gas guns is a bit pricey due to magazines, but I think if you invest in a L/RM4, you definitely won't regret it. Only ironic thing about it is that the magazines, specifically the PMAGs they make for them, are really REALLY heavy compared to RS, I suppose its expected though since that where you're putting all the gas at.

The KRISS just came out and it seems okay, you're pretty much limited looks wise on what you can do with it, and the 2 round burst feature they have seems really cool, but I'd go with the M4s.

There's always better parts support for M4 variants than miscellaneous sub machineguns.
That said, be different and get the KRISS.

I gotta say, I have and have had an LM4 since the summer, and here is a bunch of cons for you to think about.

The standard mags are crap.
Even if you got the gun at cost, its still way over priced then what its worth.
It is cool that it has recoil, and that the bolt carrier and bolt comes out just like the real one, but the standard inner barrel suck too.
You have to use .30g bbs or higher to even get the hop-up adjusted right, and even then, my AEG will out range it by 20 yards any weather and anyday.
The mags are only 30ish rounds and cost $50 each. So to even come close to a standard combat loadout, you are in it $300 just in mags. Then have fun loosing $50 mags. I dont care what anyone says, your going to loose one sooner or later, we all have lost AEG mags.
So now your around $700 for a rifle and mags, and then even with 6 mags your only loaded with 210rds, and since airsoft bb's are so light, your accuracy is deminished considerably. Then when engaging a target that has an AEG who is shooting 17 rounds a second at you with a 120rd midcap, you are screwed because he has 17 bb's coming your way for your 1. That gets really frustrating. When it comes to training, or muscle memory for shooting real steel, their great, for playing in an airsoft game they suck.

Now with all that said, this is only my opinion and I am not bashing anyone else. To each their own, just the other side of the spectrum for you.

Also if anyone wants to buy an LM4 let me know cause I will gladly sell mine for $280!!!

Kev that is too bad you had such a bad experience with your LM4. It sounds like you may of picked up a lemon.

Within SOTA we have 12 right now and all of them preform better then even our most expensive AEG's. I have tested mine in the pouring down rain and extreme cold and it has out ranged and out preformed my best AEG.

At the end of our last training after 6 hours of being in the pouring down rain it was shooting further and straighter than KWA, CA, and G&G AEG's which were all shooting at or a little above 400 FPS.

A few members of SOTA have the standard mags, and they preform just as good if not better then the Pmags (which preform amazing)

If anyone has any quesitons please feel free to ask Dos Santos, myself or go to the the KWA forums which has a wealth of knowledge about the LM4. Also Akiraspeeder, who is on these forums, has made several great videos about the LM4. He is one of the 2 top experts on the LM4 in the US maybe even the world.

I own quite a few AEG's and have spend a lot on airsoft, at this point some where in the 20k range, and I haven't found any other Airsoft replica that out of the box can out preform any of my heavily modded AEG's except for the LM4

The LM4 is definitely not for everyone, with the limit round count, recoil and overall add weight it changes the way you play. I would say it is for milsim and more serious players who don't want to use their rifle as a SAW and want a more realistic experience.

Chesty is selling his LM4 at a great deal if I didn't already have 2 I would pick it up. Kev that is too bad you had a bad experience with yours, maybe if you haven't sold it by the expo I will take if off your hands.

I just bought the G&P WOC m4 GBBR Magpul Challenge kit. It came with a magpul pts handgrip, magpul pts grip, magpul pts stock, magpul lower receiver, magpul pmag, and a magpul flip up sight. Then it came with all of the other parts that have to be assembled yourself to create the actual gun. It is fairly easy to do and a lot of fun. The kit cost 280 $ and was worth it considering the magpul furniture would have been 150-200$ by itself.

Holy crap, that's an awesome win.

Necro...but Kriss has pulled their 3rd party licensing, so if you can get one, do it. They are going to disappear.

Awesome man! You won't be sorry. SOTA has pretty much switch to all LM4's except for SAWs. If you have any questions about performance mods or questions in general please feel free to hit up Shogun or I.
