spazz from az

Postby spazzticsmurff » Mon Oct 29, 2012 10:27 pm

hello every one.
as the title says i am from and currently live in az. i have just decided to brodden my horizons.
i have been in the airsoft cumunity in my area for over 13yrs and have been a tech for most of that.
i have 40+ guns and although i have lost a few and traded 2 of them i have never sold any guns that i have aquired.
being a tech i try to stay up to date on all the recent tips tricks techniques for working on guns.
even though i have worked on guns (mine and others) for well over 10 years. i have only just recently started my shop and carrying parts and not just using parts that people bring me or that i pick up from the local shop/online.
the parts i currently carry are core, shs, and am a dealer for the new btc chimera mosfet. i do not have a web site yet and wil pobly post an add when my profile has the right status to do so.
i play airsoft as often as i can, which is once or twice a week as long as im not taking part in a stage1 medical research trial. other than that i am probly doing airsoft related stuff 6-10 hours a day.
i like playin with my kids, working on cars, playing pool, and watching movies.
i also make custom chainmaille jewlery and armor.

here are a couple of the recent builds thati have been favoring recently:

and a couple of my very first aeg's. the p90 was my first aeg and is still a feared platform on any field i take her to.
it took over $1200 to get her to where she is but she is worth evey penny.
Image
this is another one of my pride and joys. she started as a tm g36c and just got built up from there.
very few parts on this gun are still tm. gb shell, hop-up, outer barrel assembly may be all thats left of the original gun.

oh, one thing i feel i have to mention, cause i catch flac for this all the time on other forums, (most of the time it happens when i have had to correct someone who was so ignorant in a tech related post, cause thats when i will go off on a rant, and they felt i disrespected their friend). my spelling/ grammar are bad. thats just the way it is and its not going to change, im 36 and im not going back to school to learn proper english skills to make you happy.
if you post behind me and your post deals with the fact that my spelling/were bad or that i need to learn who i am talking to ill probly ignore you. ill say this right now, if i see stupid ill call you on it weather you be new or a mod.
actualy if you are a moderator and you are posting stupid tech stuff (its happened) im even worse on you, because i feel that if your going to run/mod a site about airsoft than you should know your stuff about airsoft.
almost got banned from sdairsoft because a mod there was posting that riotsc dsg sector gears didnt increase your rate of fire like everyone was saying that the 2 tappet pulls just helped your gun feed better. needless to say i went off on a rant and almost got banned. i found it quite funny realy. nobody argued the fact that i was right about the way a dsg works but everybody was up in arms about my spelling/grammar and that i had talked to a mod like that telling him that he should do his research before posting false infomation and confusing people that are trying to learn about airsoft tech stuff. since they knew i was rght they had to find something else to try and get to me about. kept threatening to ban me if i didnt practice propper grammar/spelling, even though all my post were perfectly understandable. OPPS, rant level acheaved.

glad to see my girl is getting lots of compliments. since everyone seems to like her i guess ill go ahead and give you some stats and mabey a lil background on her history.
as far as components go, there are no clone/acm parts. the gun is a tm, front rail atachment is first factory same as the box mag set-up. opps, there is one acm part, the elcan spector dr. which is a recent aquisition. when i saw that scope i knew it would fit her just right. the barrel cover is a head 1950/km 330mm lightweight unit with barrel supports installed, (that way the 550mm barrel prommy thats in it, isnt just floating out in the air. (it might be a 509, its been so long since ive had to pull it out of the gun i cant remember for sure.). the bipod is a ncstar unit.
when i first got her she was only the second tmp90 to be sold in az. i wanted something that no one else had, and that was a gun that no one else had on the field. unfortunatly she was underpowered and just a few short months after i started playing i got tired of being out gunned by all the guys that had the money to send their guns to or buy upgraded guns from aex. and also unfortunatly i am old enough that when i bought this gun tm didnt make the tr version only the rd, so when systema came out with the tr rail adaptor kit i snatched it up as well as the p90 style barrel cover that he got in that day, (my guy was under strict orders, if it was new and for the p90 it was to be on his next order) that trip to the store cost me $150. you youngsters and new players with all these clone parts and afforable guns should be praising china for what they have given you, stuff is so much cheaper than when i first started playing, but lets not get off topic. next came the front rail kit and she was starting to look bad a$$. but i still only had 3 tm stock mags, (i also had 2 of the highcaps but they were uterly useless with the ammo i was useing, any time i tilted the gun up it unwound the mag, so back to standards i went) then came my happy day, (coincidently it was also very close to my b-day) my buddy at the shop called me up and said that he had something that i need to look at. i figured it was another gun that he needed worked on or something, (they could do stuff their, but when a gun was giving them trouble and they just couldnt figure it out the called me) low and behold i come through the door and he hands me a box of the very first first factory box mag in az, (he had it on pre-order and didnt tell me). my brother decided to pick it up for me for my birthday. that trip cost $260 with the new ca m4 mag. and walla my ammo problem was solved. from then on i was playing 1000rd count games as a saw gunner. (please dont mis understand me when i say that, i did not spray and pray. i was useing suppressive, and direct/indirect fire to help control the battlefield.)
wow that longer than i thought it would be. well now or the build stats.
externals have allready been listed.
so, internaly, and mind you she has gone through a few diff configs., but this one is solid.
stock tm gearbox
custom 12tpa motor
riotsc 20:1 ratio gears
systema stainless bushings
gaurder tappet plate
head 1950/km cylinder/head/nozzel combo
systema spring guide
and systema m120s, which is so old that it only shoots 380fps
it also has a extreme fire sw-sf fet but that is going to get changed out for a cheetah as soon as i can make time to do it. i spend more time working on other peoples guns than my own. the motor pulls to much juice for the 20amp built in polly fuse to handle.

I am confused as to why you have a magnified optic on your P90, but I can come to terms to tell myself to not give two and a half shits because airsoft.

And big clusters of words all in lower-case confuse the shazaam out of me while I read.

Welcome, I guess.

sorry to confuse you while you read, ill try and get in there and capitalize some stuff tomarrow if i have time.

the elcan got put on the p90 because when i saw it, i knew it would look great on it and it would fit the personality of the gun. the p90 get well over 200' acurately with ease and once i modify the hop it will get even better range.
a magnified scope helps to pic out targets in thick brush at a distance better than i can normaly.
