Ideal Plate Carrier

Having just finished my AOR2 kit I am finally ready to make a tan/desert loadout. I do not plan on creating a kit based on a modern operating force but instead am trying to make a unique kit that could possibly pass as a PMC loadout later on. My question is what are some of the more sexy plate carriers available right now? Currently I am looking at the BAE eclipse in Coyote Brown or the LBT 6094a in coyote tan. Additionally, I know that coyote brown differs widely from traditional tan colors but what is the difference between MJK, Khaki, coyote tan, ect. Is there a comparable difference that would make it difficult to swap pouches in and out? I know Coyote brown is standard for the USMC and MJK is being run by SOCOM units but are there any other real difference?

TL;DR Give me some suggestions for my next plate carrier.

I've been a fan of the JPC since I first tried on an Emerson replica some months ago. TMC also makes one, and mine is in the mail. I'll be doing a compare and contrast when it arrives.

It's lightweight and flexible, and when you laden it with pouches it can carry a surprising amount of stuff. Love it.

Yea...shazaam condor gear, not we asting my money on POS gear that will rip or fray after a months. I have to say the FAPC looks nice, thank for the suggesion. On another not is there anything wrong with the BAE eclipse? Seems to look nice but I never see anyone rockin it. Anyways, thanks for all your help so far guys.

The eclipse is big and bulky, not something that you can attempt a low profile with if you want. Some AF units get issued it, but its not well liked.

I find it funny the FAPC is so popular now with airsoft, near a decade after its initial launch and several years after DBT failed as its original company. Personally I'd go for something a little more modernized, the Tyr PICO is designed by the same guy who designed the FAPC with more modern materials, it comes in an un-armored variant so don't let the price on the website scare you. Another excellent option would be an LBT 6094 or a mayflower APC.

Aren't Flyye, Pantac, and now Eagle made in China?

I've had my "Conderp" MOPC for over a year now and was playing every weekend for like 6 months. I bought it used and it has no fraying or issues.
Today I was discussing this with someone and they mentioned someone that kept going through Eagle PCs and finally got a condor MOPC since it was more cost effective, he's had it twice as long as any of his Eagle stuff.

Gear snobs... that's all it is.

Yeah I've seen it a lot.

Doesn't change the fact that it's a POS made in China.

They certainly don't have the same durability that the high end stuff does. A lot of guys aren't going to wear them out, since they stand next to a truck all day long and don't get dirty.

I like my Tactical Tailor Releasable Plate Carrier, but it is bulkier than something like a JPC.

I don't get the hate behind condor. You spend 10$ for lets say a mag pouch that, while not maybe as well made as something out of LBT or Tactical Tailor, is going to work just fine for airsoft. I for one have never had any of my pouches fall apart on me, and not a single pouch is starting to fall apart or tear, and I like to abuse my gear. Good luck? I doubt it given my track record with airsoft gear. And if everything were to all fall apart tomorrow, I would be down maybe $70 for a years worth of use. My guns sure don't last that long.

Post of the year? I've heard a lot of hate for Condor gear, but I beat the snot out of mine for a year and didn't lose a thread on any of my pouches.

Between a FAPC and a JPC, you can get the real ones used, or clones of the real ones for fairly cheap.

With both, you'll probably need to learn restraint on how much gear you're carrying, because you're basically limited to a three mag wide front (I support double mag pouches for MOUT and vehicles stuff, and single mags for outdoor play) and then some sort of backpack with more gear (if any more things at all).

That being said, you can get a ChiCom vest or Type 81 (4 mag chicom?) that will carry 3-4 mags on your front in a durable duck cotton type of material, and you'd be fine. If you want to do an impression, Delta and Special Forces often wear the ChiCom vests on missions, and you've got the same amount of gear storage as the bulky vests, with $15 for a new one.

It's funny, but I saw the repro ones, and I wonder if Welshy can make the "Made in china clone" argument vs. the real ones?

2 more quick questions. 1) are there any real units that wear the fapc? 2) Between the DBT FAPC and the Shellback Tactical Banshee which one would you guys recommend?
