Magazine sharing within team within a mag limited game

I have experienced the issue in game that when running mid caps only in a non-stop 2hr+ game with consistent action, my mid caps empty real fast. Even using controlled bursts, I find myself near out within 1.5hrs. Is it okay to share mags, specifically high caps, if I or another team mate runs however many we are allowed to give 1 to a friendly who is out of ammo for his primary?

If you know them, sure. May want to mark/label your mags so that you know who owns what by the end of the day.

based off my experienced playing at numerous sights down in california, most fields and or teams use the "buddy mag"
system almost all the time. most players i know have mags on the back of their vest or on the back of their packs. if they dont have them there then they have them in a place to where there teammates can grab them without them actually having to take there hands off there weapon. as to how many you can share where i play there is no limit but i would check the field rules first.

So probably host's decision. If there was no clarification, or for whatever reason, you never asked, would you guys presume that you could toss your near-out buddy a high cap even if he was running mids?

Kind of an easy question to answer man...If you have mags and you want to share, share. Make sure to mark them first so you dont get them mixed up at the end of the game.

I usually have a mag thrown at my head.

It's up to your own discretion.

Or maybe you shoud stay away from the front lines and buy more midcaps.

I'm sorry, but a mag-limited game isn't going to allow hicaps and midcaps on the same person. That's pointless.

sounds like you need to just get more midcaps, or switch to hicaps.

One of the most milsim things I ever experienced was at a blank fire WW2 reenactment. We were defending a building at Rilea; I took a hit and fell to the floor as if dead. One of our section came up from downstairs asking for ammo since one of our guys was running low. He saw me laying 'dead' and without asking rolled me over and took stripper clips from my bandoleer.

Scrounging for ammo from a teammate in a limited mag/ ammo game is fine in my book.

I typically run with a M249. If I go to a milsim game or a game with high-cap restrictions, I usualy carry several extra mid-caps on me. Four in front, along side my other two pouches for my SAW, and another 8 on my back (where the space would just be empty and unused anyways). Not only can I use them in an absolute emergency, my team-mates can grab a few off my back or I can toss them one of the ones on my front if they are unable to disenage long enough to grab them from me...Plus, the four on front make a nice resting spot for the handgrip of my SAW when I need a rest.
