The community and number of players in Central Oregon is scattered and really unknown. I have heard of at least 5 different small groups that play in different towns (Bend, Redmond, Sisters, LaPine and Prineville), but, we have not had a way to connect with most Central Oregon Airsofters.
I have seen the posts on AP from people in the past looking for other players in the High Desert, but I haven't really seen a cohesive gathering of players from CO on AP.
It is not our intent to be "the host" for all events in CO or a substitute or replacement for any other group, AP included, but instead we want to be a centralized connecting point for Central Oregon Airsofters. We will promote and advertise events recognizing that the vast majority of AP members will probably not travel to CO for an event until and/or IF an event becomes significant in size and quality to attract them to the High Desert (it is drier and sunnier here in the fall and spring
).We are also trying to encourage beginner play to give the less experienced and/or younger players an opportunity to participate without being overwhelmed by the larger milsim events.
For the more experienced players, we hope to develop a larger community of players and increase the frequency and level of play.
BOTTOM LINE: If you live in, are interested in, or know anyone playing Airsoft in Central Oregon....sign-up and connect with us so we can promote your events and begin to create larger and higher level events in Central Oregon.
