So yesterday at Oregon Airsoft, the hard-working staff are busy gearing up for today's "Customer Appreciation Day," and boy does that mean cool toys! They will be raffling off a ton of stuff, as you know, but I have great intel on a Gold G&G AK...
On a more interesting note, I met the G&G representative that was getting his stuff ready, and I sneaked a peek at the new G&G Combat Machine GBBR! Not only did I see it, and hold it, I have some (authorized) sub-par cell phone camera footage. First impressions leave me interested, and the G&G+Combat Machine=affordable. I did appreciate the recoil, and felt it more on par with a KWA MP7 as opposed to a more heavy duty DaytonaGun M249, or of course the KWA LM4. So while it has less recoil than most heavy-duty GBBR's, this replica sports an extremely high rate of fire in addition to a lighter weight and tack-driving accuracy (not sure about distances past 75', but from what I could tell it is pretty fine). Due to the fact that it chronos at over 400 FPS (~435) I expect to see a low power bolt, or some sort of adjustable system, like NPAS. It fires from the closed bolt position, and features a proprietary magazine (to the best of my knowledge) that has a large O-ring on top similar to nothing I've seen in GBBR's. Circular in nature, it appears to be a large opening above the flow valve to input into the rifle. So just proprietary to most, but if it has anything to do with the blistering rate of fire, I'll put up with it!
I'll shut up now, and leave you with these videos. Awful quality, but they serve simply to give a vague idea/tease and convey my elation gleaned from interacting with such a gorgeous platform.
Thanks to CTLOA for the opportunity!
And I'm sorry, I am having troubles with my embedding function here on AP. SO SUFFER WITH LINKS unless someone more adept at keyboard-surfing decides to post a useful reply.
