G36 AFG1/ADG2??

Postby Spitfire » Fri Aug 03, 2012 11:51 pm

I'm kind of looking into putting a Mapul AFG on my G36c, do I need to put an extended rail on the bottom? or does anybody have experience with the standard-length G36c rails working just fine with AFGs? I will buy an extended rail if necessary, but I would like to know beforehand if my shorter rails will work.

Also, how comfortable are they on the front of a G36c? Are they too far up or do they feel fine? Can't imagine it'd be too much different then the length of just a vertical grip would it?

Thanks guys!

I installed my friends AFG on my CA G36C a while back. It fit and felt just fine; just be weary because some G36 rails are off spec and may not play well with the AFG.

Sweet, I'm hoping that this: http://www.evike.com/product_info.php?products_id=38939 would be just fine then. They claim that all the parts are 100% compatable/upgradable, so I might as well just buy a longer bottom rail if an AFG2 doesn't fit.
