Postby Viper [TFW-W07] » Wed Jun 27, 2012 1:21 am

i felt my vfc 416 was to big and coversum (spelling lol) and my kwa was great but needed auto and mag capacity, so i was thinking about a mp7 set up? with sight and flashlight and mags of course, what do you think? for use at oregon airsoft arena?

if a 416 was too heavy then all the M9s will pull a marines pants down every time they fired an M16

While Ive yet to play at OAA (just moved here), the MP7 is great for CQB and even field play as well. The only downside is that the FPS may be too high, the low power bolt or duster gas may be required.

On a different note, whens usually a good day to check out OAA?

Ill be at OAA friday for some action. Id say since summer hours Thursday, friday, saturday are probably the best. Wednesdays are hit or miss ive never gone mon/tuesday. I ve been using my m4 w/ my9.5" barrel over my standard m4. The only thing I also was going to say was the fps >350 But if its under it would probably be a nice for racing around blasting kids.. :dual:

Damn Im off on Friday but I dont have a low power bolt yet and my mp7 is firing 398-402fps. Guess I'll check out Airsoft Outlet NW tomorrow and see if maybe they have a duster attachment. If I can get my fps to below 350fps Ill be there.

If you're referring to a KWA MP7, it will shoot too hot for you to use there. There is an aftermarket bolt you can buy that tunes down the FPS though.

I really don't see how your VFC was too big though, all ya gotta do is push that stock all the way in, and stand an extra few inches behind cover. But if you insist on getting a new gun I would go with a shorty M4, that way you have a system that you're familiar with, and you can get that CQB length rifle that you wanted.

It seems like you aren't really a fan of inexpensive stuff, but check this rifle out. You get the great KWA quality for a lower price.

Mp7 fires a 4.6x30mm... very nice compact weapon, loud, and deadly in Airsoft. Low powered bolt will get you what you meed.

it feels like the middle, vfc 416, kwa m226, kwa mp7..... and they sell a low power valve for 16 to 22 bucks depending

also the vfc 416 didn't seem to heavy or large, it just felt getting into that 1 room and hallway seemed dificult to get the corners (put away 416 and pull out 226?)

Just an FYI for the OP, duster gas seems to cause cycling issues with the MP7. So the low power bot green gas seems to be the safest bet. Sucks AONW didnt have the bolt in stock, guess I'll hit up OAA another time.

I really have no idea what you're talking about. a vfc 416 isn't cumbersome at all, my entire team runs 14.5/16 in barrels at OAA. I have also run my m16 a couple times there. Anyway they sell the low power bolt at OAA, thats were i got mine.

Yeah I checked with them too, unfortunately it seems everyone is out of it at the moment (even KWA).
