We have a new retailer:Airsoft Park. In browsing their website, I've come across several suppressors with springs inside them. Why? What's the benefit?

The spring is used to keep spaces between the foam inserts.

My M4-2000 PTS suppressor has foam and a spring in it. The spring seems to reduce the "pop" heard from a bb exiting the barrel.

Call the surgeons and tell them to take the day off, because I'll be doing all the operating now.
There's a point where this needs to stop, and we've clearly passed it
