OK, so lets put on our Big Boy underpants. The bio rules are what the PROPERTY OWNER has mandated. If you do not like what the conditions for playing on HIS PROPERTY, vote with your feet.
This is the best place that I have played at. I will meet (within reason) the rules/conditions that are placed upon my using this place. I will get seriously pissy at whomever I catch flaunting the "bio ammo only rule".

People used to complain about the quality of your ammo because it was the only option you had available. And you claimed it was good, you even put your name on it. It's not rocket science to figure out that if you offer 2 options of completely different brand ammo and someone specifically picks the low grade ammo... they are to blame if they get jams and gun problems. They knew there was a more expensive option but instead they picked el cheapo. Your gun jammed? Well shit, you should have spent the extra $5.

Really, though, in actual amounts, it is $5. I'm willing to bet that most of the people reading this post spent more than that on lunch. Yesterday, I went to Taco Bell, where I see/hear many airsofters going to after games and spent $6.66 (yeah, true story). If the cost was $1 and went to $2, would you complain about the 100% increase? See the flaw there?

Maybe I'm misunderstanding what you are saying, but...
Percentage increase is important. If a Taco Bell item went from $1 to $2 I would be very upset. If the price of an AEG I was planning on buying went up by $1 I probably wouldn't even notice, much less care.

The important thing to factor in is the frequency of purchase. I buy a lot more Taco Bell than I do AEGs, so in actual effect that $1 increase is multiplied by the number of times I order that item at Taco Bell.

Nobody's arguing the Bio Only. This is about field ammo only.

All of these are true statements. Just seems a bit off topic to me.

But that can be resolved with the statement "Buy the shitty BB's at $15 or the quality ones at $20 and good luck" since he'd be offering lower and higher quality options for those with good jobs, and those slave jobs.

pulsipher wrote:your right this hobby as room for people at most levels. frankly though this is about sniperzden. if someone feels that they cant afford a game and gas and a 5 dollar difference in BBs they should not attend.

I have played since 2010 and look forward to activity here in bellingham when I have time. my participation does not impact the opinion that if a variance of 5 dollars for BBs bars players from attending the game that its not the cost of BBs at fault.

everyone here that goes to games does so out of their own pocket.

Yes, this is about SniperzDen. This is about the price of things at SniperzDen. Not Bellingham. This is not against Rick, this is against a pricing standard and is trying to get more options.

I don't think your opinion is relevant if you don't play here anymore. This is for games in the future, and there are plenty of posts by people in the area that want to play at Ricks games at SniperzDen who would like a more affordable, lower-cost option.

Again, true statement (for the most part), but not what any one is talking about.

If anyone sold low grade bb's, and they caused malfunctions. The person selling them would never hear the end of it. Rick stated he plans on selling 4,000 rnd bags for about $15, and possibly 2,000 rnd bags for $8-$7.50. I'm not sure why people keep talking about $20 bags.

I want to know where everyone is getting 4000 rounds of ammo for under $15?
Ive been paying ~$15 for ammo since like 2003... They usually only contained 3700 rounds

I mean sure, the store sells them at $12 but you still need to take into account shipping costs

I guess people do need something to complain about

I've got a budget, too. Mine is different than yours, but money still matters to me, too. We'll talk, for example, when you have to pay $900 a month in student loans. But this insipid whining over $5 is silly. Don't go out to eat after the game. Don't buy a beer when you go out to eat.

Riddick, your patience is amazing. Your willingness to continue a dialogue with a vocal, whining minority is amazing. It's probably what makes you good at putting on games. 7 pages ago I would have said, "Well, don't go, then." Your BB's are good quality and relatively inexpensive. You have my unequivocal support.

I'm with the bio ammo idea. I'm with Riddick's plan. I'm not with people casually dismissing this as an unimportant or perfect choice. That's all it is. Regarding your condescension about spending extra on lunch, Taco Bell, etc., I have some information for you:

Maybe I'm not privileged enough to be as bright as you. I'm not paying 900 a month in student loans. However, I am working a job that gives me 20-30 hours on just-above minimum-wage, going to school for 12 cr. hours, and paying for it all myself. FIgure 400 dollars a month, and if I'm late I don't get to sign up for classes, thereby missing a semester. After last game, I didn't go out to eat. I didn't have the money. I don't drink, I don't allow myself Taco Bell.

This isn't insipid whining. It's a logical argument intended to make sure we're all aware of the direction we head. Again, I'll reiterate that I'm all for Riddick's plan. 'Kay? But when we start talking price increases (whether real or imagined), it must needs be taken seriously. When Taco Bell raised the price of my favorite burrito from $1 to $1.29, I stopped eating it. I don't know how it is in big bad adult land, but some of us have to work to enjoy ourselves AND be responsible.

Don't be a douchebag just because you can.

If you can't afford to play airsoft, then you probably shouldn't be playing airsoft.
