We're playing sector control this weekend - with a twist. Only attackers can capture sectors, the defending team can only defend sectors - they cannot capture or re-capture sectors lost. The attackers will hit each sector in sequential order until they have captured all, or failed. They'll have 60 (or maybe 90) minutes to capture each objective in order. Sectors will be in a line that spans across the field, ending in... you guessed it, the village. When they fail or succeed, we'll reverse the teams and do it again.

It's basic 3 man respawn. Attackers start off in a designated spawn point, and as they capture sectors they can respawn from those. Defenders start in the field, and then respawn at the nearest uncontested sector point. It's simple, if attackers are trying to capture sector 1, you respawn at sector 2. If the defenders are pushed all the way back to the final sector point, they'll have a designated non-sector spawn point further back.

REMEMBER: Please bring a death rag. Any red or bright orange material will work. Shop rags, bandanas, safety vests, whatever.

Sounds like BF3 gone airsoft. Sounds more fun, too.

Actually, us old farts played games like Operation Flashpoint, which were the first to introduce sector based objectives in first-person shooters.

So whats the field like? I watched the skirm video there, and obviously mostly trees, but Is there any cover(man-made) or buildings besides the village?

Yes, the game is rain or shine. Showers are in the forecast, dress warm.

The Scappoose field has a couple of spots with plywood buildings in various state of disrepair. There's forest, slash piles, roads and ravines. For the price (FREE), in my opinion it's one of the best fields available in the Pacific Northwest.
