AK-47 and M4 combined

Postby Kommodant » Fri Sep 09, 2011 11:20 am

So here's my dilemma. I LOVE the AK-47 with an undying passion, just something about wood and steel makes me very happy. However, I have a nice APS ASR101 that I use for airsoft. The M4 style is OK but nor as loved as the AK. My question is ,and you can probably guess where this is going, is there a carpenter here who would be willing to make a AK stock that attaches to the M4 like a normal M16 stock and also make wood hand guards that look like the AK ones but use the delta ring and cap system used on M4s. If someone is willing to accept my challenge please let me know because I'm eager to buy ! :D

If noone's willing to build .. such an abomination... you can always look into getting wood ar15 furniture and modifying it to fit an AEG.

Anything's possible with a dremel and jbweld [stick]. It'd be a fun project, that's for sure.

I don't care if you disgrace your AK with stupid AR parts, but at least leave the AK parts off the stupid ARs.

In my opinion, the M4/AK47 "tacticool" AK's are neat, but they, like the Xbox 360 Arcade, are NOT backwards compatible. In the loosest sense of the word.

Modifying an AR-15 wood kit is the best way to go. You may have issues with durability when you carve out the pistol grip to fit a motor though. Brownells sells the wood kit for $190. But for that price and labor, its not too much more to get a decent AK.

Or, because this is airsoft, (a hobby), do what you want in terms of what you think looks cool and functions best for you [within a standard set of rules to keep things fair and people from being killed].

-my 2 cents
