Phoenix Company Airsoft Hearald & News event! Klamath falls

Postby Phoenixcompany » Wed Jul 20, 2011 10:50 am

This Saturday, 23 July 2011, the Herald and News will be coming out to do a story on Phoenix Company Airsoft. We are putting out a call to all players in the Southern Oregon area to come check us out and help promote the field and the sport of Airsoft. We are offering half off on rentals and field fees! That means it's $5.00 with your own gear and only $15.00 for a rental! (rentals limited to the first 12-14 players and first come first serve unless you contact me ahead of time)

Please check out our website at phoenixcoairsoft.com for directions and field info. Saftey rules are standard AP rules with a few minor differences for our field's layout.

We will be starting at 12 noon and would love to see some of you there.

Please call Adam at 541-205-1399 if you need further information.

Good luck to you all with this, and please, do your best to represent our sport/hobby in the best possible manner. I'm sure you will, but I had to mention it anyways. Keep the "kids" away from the reporters, so nothing like "I love killing my buddies with this sick gun I have!" is said and printed in the paper! Again, good luck, and I'm sure you will represent us all very well. Keep us posted on how it goes, and provide a link to the article if published.

Media can be a great thing and also a damaging thing.

Just a reminder as I know things will be handeled professionally:

Safety Briefing: Have a great one. Use a written down script so as to not forget anything important, especially the following:

Blind Man: Someone on the field w/o eye pro. Gameplay stops until danger is resolved and admin calls "Game On"

Blue Rooster: Law enforcement or an armed authority has entered the field. Game stops. All players put down their replicas and put there hands up. Avoid threating gestures and wait for instructions.

Red Cross (Medic): There is a serious injury on the field. Gameplay stops until the situation is taken care of.

-Ensure that there is a designated "Safe Area" and a clearly defined area where Eye Protection is required.

-Ensure that the media and any observers have proper eye protection and bright clothing when on the field.

Have fun. I will be doing volunteer work that day so I will not be there.

WOW! Thank you to everyone that showed up today for this event. Good times and good gaming. Special thanks to MoFo, Oddball and BSR (Big Sexy Ron) for driving all the way from Medford and to the two late comers from Medford as well. I look forward to many games in the future and especially Operation: Red Sky next weekend.
