Jindo Gear

Discussion of load-bearing equipment, tactical gear, holsters, BDUs, and other gear related to Airsoft.

I always preferred the Nomex flight gloves (2nd pic) I folded in the ends, so they're not as long. They're a bit more comfortable that way. Ditch the patrol cap, for a ball cap and you're good to go.

my day, as a PFC in Washington Army, in a Component Repair company does the following:
-Soldier Pickup (they come get stuff and I have them sign their stuff and help them know which item on the paper is which item in their hand as there are at least 3 names for everything).
-Soldier turnin (they have outdated crap, or they're getting out of the army and must return everything).
-Weapons Maintainence (they sit all year doing nothing, and the people cleaning weapons are stupid because they're lazy).
-run to the printer and retrieve printoffs for the AGR who bosses me around
-inventory someone elses toolbox (this weekend).

what they do during the week when I'm not there, dont laugh. anything the M-Day people dont finish, the AGR's have to finish. IN ADDITION to the crap they have to do.

to clarify... those 3 sets of gloves I have, that are army issued, I intend to keep. I'll do statement of charges if I have to, I like those gloves. the black leather dumb ones, I'll use those no problem. sometimes I like them. sometimes I am doing things like operating a camera or something where gloves get in the way.

I have a multicam ballcap. two of them. for Jindo, I am going Kevlar or Boonie. the Patrol Cap is for the drive there since I dont like sunlight looking at me from in front.

@stams, those 3 reasons are kinda why I dont bring my real army stuff to airsoft. combat loss can be signed away and forgiven by the army. most of the "shitty gear" is expendable kinda. I know that since we no longer play the old tacoma airfield, I dont have a gravel pit to lay in. so ACU is not favorable anymore.

@nasty, Infantry guys on deployment, POG's on Camp Murray, and the guys inbetween those awfully distant extremes have different rules.
I know as a supply guy, with an E4 and a E6 directly above me, they will say ugly stuff if you try to turn them in all sliced up. keeping them yourself... I dont know. I'd say "use geographically assigned rules"

ok, we didnt have great enough photo coverage that I know of...

-To fix the hydro issue I took the padded idiocy out of the back panel and put a bladder in it.
-To fix the sidearm issue, I put my USP45 in a mag pouch, which snuggly shared space with a stanag. My taurus crapped the bed on me so now its not such a waste to have that USP afterall.
-to fix the cover issue, I either had my ACU Patrol cap (against advice because I forgot to change it after the drive), I had on a rice hat (in green area), a multicam boonie or a multicam gunfighter cap. or nothing (night game).
-for eye pro, I used my mesh slims (airsoft megastore 13 dollar glasses with green strap) or for the night game I used my army issued ESS glasses.
-for a uniform, I had on my oversized ACU pants for saturday and sunday I had on my Choco-Chip pants. for tops, I had on ACU Combat shirt (1st round), Multicam service jacket (2nd round), black fleece (night game), or black brit sweater (sunday).
-for a weapon, it was my M4 the entire time.

I'm pretty confident my gear worked out for me, but if I ever get a strike vest I'll be a little happier. the Crye replica is good for what I got it for though.

If i can hike 10 miles with a 20 pound back pack above the clouds in thin air without water or any water sources (without complaining about it) then you can play one god damn game without water. It's a good kit, stop giving him so much shit. also who ever actually cares what format his location on his profile is, needs to simmer the hell down. he probably just lives somewhere in the northwest.

edit: i guess this is a little out dated, in the time i was writing this about 6 new posts came along. jesus you guys are fast

It take you a week to write that?

Water is always important to have at a game, especially in the summer. Heat stroke is no bleeding joke.

oh. My internet didn't load the second page. damn comcast. I'm not trying to diminish the importance of water, but if you forget it just be sure to drink lots after the game. You won't die, bear grylls didn't die in the desert, i didn't die in the mountain. BUT being hydrated makes you play better, be faster, and have more energy. So for the sake of the team, bring water.

Bear grylls didn't die because his show is fake. Talk to an EMT, Doctor or Paramedic about the importance of water during strenuous exercise on a hot day. People face the risk of serious injury or death from not drinking enough water.

You know what temperature Marine boots stop EVERYTHING (men, vehicles, etc.) at and drop down because of the risk of heat stroke? 90*. Black flag is 90 degrees, and that is the whole bloody United States armed forces. If they don't, they run the risk of heat stroke epidemics.

There is something else going on here if a guy in great shape went down in under an hour. Maybe he had been dehydrated for a while before the event, instead of water he liked juice or pop a hell of a lot, maybe he drank a bit the night before, maybe he had complication or an illness during the event. Perfect health, great shape (everyone has a different definition), light weight rig and passes out in under an hour? Either you guys were sprinting him straight up and down a hill for an hour straight or the dude was a gym rat.

Edited for tl;dr

Not sure why that part was necessary, considering that 90 degrees is the black flag point for most, if not all, of the US military.

Because I heard it from a former Marine who is in the Army, and he talked about Marine Corps Black Flag.

Edited nonetheless. ;)
