So is there any chance i can use my sniper rifle at this OP? It shoots a little over 400 and i am not certified yet but i am going to get certified. It only shoots like 415fps with .25's Will I be able to work as my teams sniper?

415 with .25's is quite a ways over our safety limits, since all of our FPS limits are with .2's, not .25's. If you were firing 2.'s it would be closer to 460.

My advice? Leave your sniper rifle at home and bring an AEG.

Angelo needs to post the sniper information for this game. I am not sure how many snipers we'll have per side. That's something he'll need to announce.

Also - I am still looking for volunteers for the CO of each side.

Well that was just a guess. I am not sure what it shoots with 25's. since i dont have a chrono but I know that the spring i put in it is Rated for 430fps with .20's what do you think it shoots with 25's if it shoots 430 with .20's?

When you get down to it, our limit is 1.5 joules of energy. 400fps with a .2g BB is 1.49 joules, so our limit is just rounded to "400fps with .2's" for ease of translation. Here is the quote from the Rules section of the site:

Safety Rules wrote:Standard FPS Limits:
Chronographs are used before games to test all replicas present. Any replicas that test too high will not be allowed in play. No exceptions will be made, please research upgrades and how they effect your replica before purchasing or installing them. All of the following velocity limits are with .2g BBs.

Gas Pistols - Green Gas
Fully/Semi Automatics (ARs, SMGs) - 400 fps (1.5j)
SAW/LMG (ARs with Box Mags will NOT qualify, safety class required to exceed 400) - 450 fps (1.88j)
Sniper Rifles (Bolt Action ONLY, safety class required) - 650 FPS (3.9j)
CQB/Indoor - All under 300 fps (0.8j)
*Limits Measured with .20g B

Since you are asking, I'm assuming you read the rules. I'm reiterating them here for anyone else who is reading this post.

I used this site to calculate the approximate muzzle energy that your rifle would have, which would be 1.72j. That is over the limit of 1.5j, so I would think that without the safety class, you are unable to use that rifle at this game.

Sorry man. Even if your rifle was safe to use, I would still tell you to just set it down, pick up and AEG, an have some fun with us grunts. :D

Are we gonna have designated snipers like in G18? If so, could someone use a bolt action that is not a sniper as long as it wasn't at sniper velocity (under 400fps)?

Yeah I have the same question as above One of my friends has a UTG M324 but its still stock so it will only 320 so would he be allowed to use it or are you only having a certian number of people allowed to use bolt?

The number of people allowed on the field with a bolt-action is up to the event coordinator, which is not me. We'll have to wait to see what Zeus says.

And ZEUS says... I will allow 5 bolts per side. But let it be known, AEG's are encouraged. PM me for bolt action sign-up. Please understand the commanding officers, may have thier own ideas regarding snipers, and I will allow them to alter the deal if they please.

That is all...

When will the Company Commanders be named, and the teams can begin the game plan for this event. 30 days and counting.

*Side Note*
Zues, I look forward to this event. You put on great games, and with this one being larger, meaning the size of useage for the field, My team and I can not wait.

Tommyboy has volunteered for CO of the Turks (Bravo) but I still need a CO volunteer for the Greeks (Alpha). As soon as I have these positions squared away, I can start assigning private board access for each side so ya'll can begin building your fireteams and planning your strategies.
