Senate bill passed to make airsoft gun look more like toys

Discuss anything and everything here that's Airsoft related.

That's the point. Stores closing = no massive orders = less available product = jacked prices.

My bad.

i am going to call bullshit on this and the guy on face book who has his video....

isnt AONW thier OWN distributor....dont they get thier stuff from the PORT OF TACOMA?

not from any ports in cali.....so actually if cali goes down with this law....it will still be some time before any of teh other west coast states jump on the wagon....say a year or two? so that means supporting AONW and local shops in oregon washington is what cali and the rest of the states will be doing....

so make a buck off it.

more scare tactics? didnt pass six years ago? wont pass now....so why get all uptight and start buying stamps and flooding some fools office in another state.

i could care less if this hobby takes a steaming dump on itself.....there is always something cooler to do with things that go boom.

Correct me if I'm wrong though, please.

Demand for the manufacturers products plummet. They have nobody to distribute their products because their biggest buyers are no longer buying their products. So they have to raise their prices because there's an entire US state where Airsoft used to be popular and none of those people are buying anymore. Hence the prices will eventually raise because they need to make their money back.

I don't think he's trying to insist that those Airsoft guns move through California, just that California does import a huge majority of Airsoft guns into the united states. All of the largest and most successful Airsoft retailers reside in California. If you looked at a pie chart of all Airsoft guns that ship to the United States, I would be willing to bet a huge portion of that pie is California.

It's bad news for Oregon either way. Because a) other states may do the same thing and b) it hurts Airsoft economy in the United States.

I do give a shazaam if it goes under, because I enjoy playing the game. I'm not going to prepare for the apocalypse like some of you other assholes. I just want to shoot some people (legally) and have fun doing it. The next closest thing is paintball and it really doesn't do it for me. If some lawmakers had their way, Airsoft and Paintball would be the same.

No Morgan, it would not. But if I can spend 5 minutes to mail a piece of paper to California and it helps the cause - why not? I'm not about to go marching on the Capital or anything but I will do what I can to help these guys spread the word.

dont care about you or other minors...you shouldnt have a replica till the age of 18 and i see it as you and your age group are 90% of the problem and the reason for this legislation.

Yeah, I totally agree with Morgan. I'd honestly like to see airsoft go 18+, 'cause it'd mean I could rejoin the hobby when I turn 18, instead of having it banned outright.

KA-BAR your views are dogmatic and narrowminded. if you are so ready to find another hobby why dont you do it. stop forcing your views/opinions on those that want to continue to enjoy the sport. If they want to stress and send in their letter then let them. every petition and letter helps. thats the only way that lawmakers and politicians know what the people want. take a social studies class for god sake.

rant off
