the bill was set up because of a police shooting last year in December involving a 13year old carrying a Beretta 92F airsoft pistol

well more people will start painting their guns.

In canada the lower receiver has to be clear.

We have been pretty lucky to get away with what we have for a long time. Eventually someone is going to change the way things are.

We dont have the right to have immitation firearms look as real as possible like the currently do.

Correct response:
Deploy enough PETN, and C4 on the border to blast California into the Pacific Ocean. This way they can continue ruining things for themselves, and not everyone else. I really could do with never watching a Hollywood movie ever again, if it meant they couldn't screw up more stuff.

They should just make the law say 18 or older are allowed to play airsoft and handle an airsoft replica.

Uh Oh....

And what exactly would that mean for CA retailers and replicas already in circulation?

You can't and shouldn't regulate stupidity. Passing laws to protect people from themselves, especially in the sense of "if you point something that looks like a gun at a cop, he will shoot you," is ridiculous and oppressive. Who doesn't know and expect that you will be shot for something like that? It is especially ironic that this happens in the most liberal of states, where you'd think the acceptance of evolution would be especially high. However, with this crap, 'survival of the fittest (and smartest)' seems like a foreign concept to these people, or just something that applies to animals. People pointing fake guns at cops is a modern-day example of why that theory works.

I seem to recall something about a thing called "Natural Selection" in where the weak (or stupid in this case ) get weeded out of the gene pool. I guess California just has to pass some more laws that they cannot afford to enforce.

If California wants to make more money, they'd lift the screwed up rules on guns, and heavily tax firearms and related items. People would buy the shit out of the stuff since they haven't had access to a lot of it for a long long time.

Using their logic then the criminal should paint their guns in bright colors and then they could shot innocent people and not get shot at in return.

This may effect us here in Oregon/Washington too... Won't retailers like Airsoft GI and Evike have to comply with this law if/when emplaced?
