CIRAS question

So, I've been looking into getting another armor carrier, cause I miss mine. I used to have a MAR-CIRAS style one, and I loved the coverage and real estate it afforded me, so I'm thinking I'll just save up and get a real one (on ebay, probably).

My question is this: why does the SKDtac photo for the MAR-CIRAS represent it in 2 different ways? In the first image, it has 6 columns of MOLLE on the front, and on the second, it has 8. The shoulder straps are also different between the two.

Is this difference because of sizing, new versions of the carrier, what?

different size. S-M-?L? has 6 xl has 8. I believe...
