I'm pretty sure Dan based it off of what he's seen through his military experience and what is most comfortable for him (probably how a real SF guy would do it anyway).

This picture is pretty close representative of Dan's loadout. I mean sure there would need a few minor tweeks here and there, but that is to be expected.

As you can see the loadout is pretty close. The type of plate carrier and the positioning of the various pouches is all fairly similar.

This is how Dan probably used to roll while in service. He now rolls with the plate carrier painted OD and in OD BDUs, but...

This is definately how he should roll now.

I am going to mail a set of CAG SOP to a friend overseas to wear and then you'll be sorry!

I'll have him put it on military photos.net :P

Also, this means that Android's uniform was up to mil-sim when he was at Santa's War:

Lets investigate the wording of this:

"Realistic Military Impression"

By that definition I am probably half wrong. I am not doing an impression of what any current soldier wears in the US. This is 100% because of colors though. But we're fighting in a desert and high mountain environment so of course we'll be using desert colors to fight there.

But the first two words, Realistic military, I can do. It's gear and layout that is realistic to how the current US Soldiers fight with.

Also note I am in the military, so whatever I do is a true impression 100%. So I am doing a SGT McKinlay (my name) impression and have it 100% no matter what I do.

Also, there have been units across history who wear something similar, wihch is to say OD gear and pants and a solid color shirt that is not OD. Especially prevalent in WW2, when the pre-WW2 German "Brownshirts" were prevalent and then helped Hitler rise to power, and also in Italy when Mussolini had his "Blackshirts"

The C.O.C.K. needs his "Blueshirts"!

Off topic: Dan, where did you get that RAV from? I'm only asking because I want one. It looks pretty similar to the IOTV's they issued us. I did a fair amount of browsing on the normal channels for one and only found one on Ehobby for almost $400 with all the pouches. Anyways, I just want the vest itself. Thanks for any info.

Everything continuity mistake in "The Matrix" was actually a glitch in the Matrix itself, so there.

Dan,

If you are wondering if your load out is acceptable ask yourself this one question....."What would the 1SG say if you showed up to drill looking like that?"

Discussion settled.

You can get an OD IOTV for about $100.

That vest I'm wearing is a Condor MOPC. 8)

I got it used with about 10 pouches for $50.

Lets investigate the wording of this:
just because you are in the military doesn't mean that what you wear on the airsoft field is a 100% accurate impression of what the real military is doing... that would be like you attending a game in blue jeans, a wife beater, and a pair of girls jelly's form the 1980's and saying it's a military impression.

Lets us first define the term impression. To me an impression is an imitation of specific traits of a person. Therefore a realistic military impression, should not change specific traits like color.

Now let us define the term realistic. to me realistic means "resembling or simulating real life"

Is it a military impression? No doubt.
Is it within the confines of his military simulated airsoft team? Absolutely.
It is a realistic military impression, No because he has changed the specific traits of the uniform to meet his other qualifications, which takes away from the "resembling real life." Which in this case "real life" is men and women while serving within the military.

I'm not saying it doesn't look good, and I'm not saying it's a military impression, I'm just saying if you want to make it a "realistic military impression" you have to imitate the specific traits of real life military including color, vest type, pouch placement, just to name a few.

But of course this is all my opinion...
