What does it mean for the pistol gas mags when it say something like 12+1?? Does that mean it can carry 13 rounds??

12 in the magazine + 1 in the chamber
So for example you load a bb/bullet through the breach or from a magazine, then load a magazine.
Same applies to rifles and shotguns.

12 rounds can be carried in the magazine, 1 round can be carried in the chamber. So yes, it can carry a total of 13 rounds.
