Noob Freindly Events?

Postby FunkyDoucheMan » Sun Jun 13, 2010 9:27 am

Ok, this is a thread for me and all the other new guys. Basicly what I want to ask is how noob freindly the events are? (I don't mean running around in church boy clothes with a wal-mart springer) But like new to the community and events. Because I would like to buy a gun and gear and participate with you guys, but don't want to be treated like dirt because Im not as aware to whats happening, etc.

Thanks

You'll find that new players are always welcome at events. You won't be treated like crap for being new. You will be treated like crap for not following the rules or not calling your hits tho. ;)

Almost any skirmish, and 99.9% of the training events held are "noob friendly". For that matter any larger game too, although they might be overwhelming at first.

You can probably tell from the description on a lot of the events how noob friendly they may be.

The Farm's normal weekend events are probably of the casual nature you're looking for.

Being new to this community myself i can tell you pretty much everyone is chill and don't make fun of the rookies TOO awful much. ;)

CAG holds a monthly training weekend and we focus our weekends entirely on training and working with other people. We usually have a few new players at every event, so you won't be alone. Also everyone is very friendly and willing to help you out if you need any advice.

Ivan's farm, my very first game was there. It's really noob friendly. That's the game where i held back ivan and 3 other pla guys from scoring the flag with an mp5k.

My first event was an OP. There's no difference between the events as far as noob friendliness unless it's a competition, which happen only so often.

I've tried to get you out, but you were like "Man, I gotta go play Halo."

I'd say almost every event on here is pretty nood friendly. http://airsoftpacific.com/viewforum.php?f=10 Also you should check out The Farm. They have games every weekend.

Yeah, my first event, Grid 18, I'd say people were very noob friendly. I really wouldn't worry too much about it.
The King Of al-Talk. Hey, at least I'm not a troll.

Noob friendly, depends on how friendly the noob is... If you come out to a game and talk shit and act like an elitist, we probably won't be too "friendly" with you... But go to any game, find people you've chated with in the chat room, and tell them who you are, certainly some one of us will take you under our wings and get you rolling where you need to be, make introductions etc. Although on the forums we all talk a lot of trash about Noobs and "L33t bitches" but once were out there on the field, most of us are all pretty nice, helpful, and try to encourage new players to become more seasoned. Just remember to read the rules and follow them. If the game says no high-caps don't bring your high-caps and expect to play.

Damn man. Necro up the yinner!

Yes sir. I'm going to be playing Halo: Reach until I can get sick to death of it. Once I fix my gun (Probably never) I'm going to sell it along with my gear.
