Its a proven fact, some threads can actually reduce your intelligence by simply reading them.

There isn't "the rest of you." You're all as you described, in varying magnitudes.

Terminata wrote:If some kid thinks he's hot stuff and says he's going to destroy everyone, then settle it on the field! Teach him a lesson so he finally realizes he's not "all that".

Or he'll cheat and not call hits so it appears he is as badass as he claims, which is more often the case. Typically, AP uses it's social strengths to take Johnny Rambo down to an appropriate (or at least tolerable) notch.

Terminata wrote:You guys have to give us a chance though.

No, we really don't.

Terminata wrote:Maybe there's some kid out there who's really good and loves to airsoft, but never gets the chance to prove it to you guys. Or a new kid starts playing and everyone shuts them out and ignores them.

Everyone gets their chance to introduce themselves without fear of backlash. We have a whole forum for it. The issue is that most people blow that free chance acting like Mr. Tough Guy Sniper Ranger Know-it-all, and then they have to deal with the responses that arise from that.

Terminata wrote:Also, summer may be over, and school has started, but that doesn't mean kids won't be playing anymore. There are alot of weekend games...

In the last 5 years I've been playing, the younger crowd almost disappears from the forums and the fields once school starts.

The butthurt people get from this makes me laugh. If you can't go to one game, too bad. You can't go to a bar, either.

Ok. Point taken

Then run up on him, switch to fully and don't let off the trigger for a while and I'm pretty sure he will get the picture. If not, call him out on it or tell the admin.

Airsoft isn't just you're sport, other people (such as myself) like to play too.

Yeah you're probably right. I'm sure most of them do, but maybe a couple will stick around :) I for one.

I'm not trying to irritate people or get on your guy's badside, I'm just trying to show my opinion. I understand if you disagree. We're the underclassmen :D If it's your game, then it's your rules. Just keep in mind, we like to play too sometimes :D

Honestly we should be able to play. If someone is being annoying then kick em out. It ruins it for new airsofters

I don't think people should get kicked out for being annoying. Being annoying isn't against the rules. Some people are just that way (as I am obviously being annoying to Nocte :D). If you're doing something that is against the rules like hacking, not calling hits, etc. then you should be kicked out.

I guess what I am not getting from this is, if you want the younger kids to be more mature and not act as you and I did at 14, then why are you bitching about it instead of trying to make a difference. You all remember seeing that Marine in full dress blues when you were 13 and thinking damn that guy is cool. That is what these kids that play airsoft do.

"Wow man nice M4" or holy shit I love your loadout. 99% of the kids that play airsoft look up to the NON JACKASS adults, and all we do is phony pony about them being immature. Why aren't we stepping up and teaching them how to act, speak, and play with honor. STOP THE BITCHING AND START MENTORING!!!

I just stumbled across this thread, and I'm trying desperately not to sound like another arrogant teenager while writing this, but each person has their own game, their own play style, and their own personality. Thinking all people below the age of 18 will be annoying, or cheat is no different than saying all Mexicans are here illegally, or that black people are extremely fond of fried chicken. The fact of the matter is, that kind of discrimination DOES exist in the community. Maybe stupidity is more frequent in those of us under the age of 18, but that doesn't change the fact that you're under the impression that ALL of us under the age of 18 are arrogant, stupid teenagers.

I've played games where lil' timmy with his plastic Echo 1 hits Mr. Badass , and Mr. Badass ignores the hit, mows timmy down with his systema, then lies to the ref about it. Now, that being said, I know all of you aren't like that, but I know it exists.

What this all boils down to is people thinking that the gear makes the player. If Mr. Badass throws thousands of dollars at the sport, and Timmy spends 150$ on his echo 1 and a mask, shouldn't Mr. Badass be better? Shouldn't his 1450$ investment make him the best damn player on the field? The answer is NO! Why would money make him invulnerable to Timmy's plastic? What I see a lot of here is people not wanting to get shot out by some little punk, so they find a reason to hate them, and hate the youth in general, so they can save themselves the embarrassment of getting tagged by some 14 year old who scraped up the cash to start airsofting. Grow up, stop hating a group of people based on their age, and start getting to know them better.

Incredibly unsafe, inappropriate, and generally uncool to do. Then add on that I'm intentionally doing this to cause pain to a minor. It also sets a bad example, and while I wouldn't classify myself as a role model, I don't want to help set that precedent.

No one's telling you that you're barred from playing airsoft. The conversation is about the occasional game with an age limit, not every skirmish that will ever exist. It's not the crisis you guys are making it out to be.

yea, chesty that sounds really good.

lets go back before chestys time to a day long gone by, remember the legendary EATF? they had the communities VERY FIRST mentoring program. while i was on this team, some of the finest players on the fields were the EATF CMP. i learned alot form them as i moved up in the EATF ranks.

Yandel wound up a strait up manchild of the USA and signed up. was a great airsofter as i remeber too.

Garret iz all growsed up now and ziplines across the world with his airsoftreview.com money!

and billdozer. well we all know what happened there. probably one of 5 names that i can think of that have been banned or ousted from this community.

ever since the failure of the EATF CMP program 4 years ago, i have not seen more then 2 under age players that i would ever vouch for or waste my time mentoring.

good try though chesty ol chap.
I am not half as good as I want to be, but I am twice as good as you think I am.

Nocte, yeah my solution did sound bad now that I read it over again. What I meant by "run up" was get into a shooting position, where you had a clear shot. I didn't mean point blank, but I was unclear, so I apologize. I guess the admin solution is the way to go :D
