Everyone did such a good jog getting into character that it inspired me to play along and a neutral photographer. That started to get fun. Especially when Scythe propositioned herself to me. :D

BEST. DAY. EVER!

I'm totally in for helping DRAT get this game going in full force next time around. I also encourage more people to come out and act/play. This game was truly fun even from behind a camera. Now that we have a taste for this kind of game, great shit will happen.

Well, after about 700 miles and 12 hours of travel over two days, I have to say that it was worth every minute just for the 2 hours that we were able to play. I had a blast, everyone in my +4 group had a blast. We are eagerly awaiting the next Fallout Op. when it is organized.

I really appreciate everyone that stayed in character, and I really am into this style of larp-soft gaming. I just wish I hadn't been so confused as to what was going on half the time. Bounty hunters doing weird stuff to raiders without telling us. I killed a raider that I afterward thought might have been a caravan/trader, but ended up being verified as a raider. Fun times. I think there was other confusion too for some people on the other teams.

Anyway, no complaints even about the confusion, if anything I thought it added to the feel of the game. It was nice meeting a lot of you, and seeing some familiar faces again too.

I wish people would stop mixing me up with Rayne, Rayna, Rayn, or any of the other 'Rain' based names in our community, I should maybe figure out something more unique as my call sign, eh? Too bad I've been using it for so long. :?

Hopefully I'll see you all at the next Fallout Op. 8)

A note to the 'people' who say they'll never attend a DRAT event again.

I'm with Ka-Bar - good. I hope I don't see you there. If you can't understand that trying to run a game like this comes with some bumps in the road, then you really shouldn't be there. I wish I could have been there to support this event, because I beleive in events like this.

It's not easy putting on a game, even when its the basic game. Add in all sorts of complications the way DRAT did, in putting on a Fallout game - kids, it's not going to go smooth. Especially for a first time run-through. Even a second, or third time run through on an original concept game is going to be rocky.

Lets take Manicotti I - totally original concept, never done before, in the same area that this game was run. It was far from perfect. As an event host, I walked away super disappointed with how Manicotti I turned out. Such things are going to happen with an original concept. Manicotti II was 1000 times better (no?). Lessons were learned, and things smoothed out. I'm praying that Manicotti III is 100 times better than Manicotti II.

I have a feeling that DRATFALLOUT 2i is going to be balls-fucking-out-awesome, and you guys that say you're not going to support another DRAT event, you queerosexuals are going to miss out on a bitching event. And DRATFALLOUT 3, thats going to be even better.

DRAT - I wish I could have been there. One of my regrets of the year is going to be that I couldn't be there (im like almost 300 miles away right now).

That was an awesome event. It sucks what happened, but even still I had an awesome two hours playing. I give props to the locals that really played up their characters. It made the game feel that much more immersive. Junto and the DRAT team did a fantastic job, and met some great people along the way. Thanks for the fun guys and I will see you all at the next Fallout Op! :D Fallout Beta Testers FTW!

HMMMM... Where should I start on this game? IT WAS F****N AWESOME!!! I loved the game play; except for the spawn. Only problem for me. But me and my +2 loved the game. I can't wait for the non-beta of this game. I think that next time Muties should have pain killer on so we can have more than one shot hit so we can last a little longer. I also think that you should try an area closer to the Portland area so it is halfway for almost everyone who attends. But in all awesome and I can't wait for the next one. :D

I can get behind Attack's suggestions on page 39. From the perspective of BoS it was really fun. Interesting to see all the creative costumes. Really well thought-out event. Lots going for it. I'm coming to the next one provided I get enough notice that I can plan around it. Looking forward to it.

Please, no multiple hit rules for people who aren't actors / leaders. It just encourages people to cheat. I like the idea of them just being a larger group to simulate that it takes more ammo to take them down.

But that's just my opinion, and you know what they say about those. :p

i gotta say, comming from outta the raiders spawn at the sound of game on was fantastic. we were lead by a fearless raider leader that was shirtless with some wendy o williams electrical taped nipples. his fiance was also equally kittied out and then there is the giggles. walking out of the spawn i felt like i was off to barter town.

as we snuck past the radiation zone, i heard the roar of a thousand mutants. then i heard the BOS yell out contacts, and start returning fire. i snuck through thier skirimish lines and was the first to find the old hermit camp. this was actually my goal right off the bat, so that i could gain his trust. i de-magged, and let him know far off of my intentions and wishes to join him in camp. he was willing to trade, but i had nothing to offer but bottlecaps and he wanted ancient tech. then i saw the rocket launcher. my number one goal was to figure out a way to kill the mutant lords, he was my ticket.

second mission was to infiltrate the town and get a stim pack for our fearless leader for phaze three. on my way in i spotted some ancient tech on a stump. a book. i went to go for it but then spied a BOS going for it so i said EFF it i will take his soul first, then the book. i lined up the iron sights of my trusty scout onto his shiniest armour plateing( kid with the chrome armour you were awsome, scared the shit outta me, till i realised i had the drop on you!) and TINK, core body shot from about 40 feet. AWSOME SAUCE HIT CALLER! then as i went for the book there was his buddy, so i DE-MAGGED and said i wished to go into town for trading, he lowered his weapons and in i went for the stims and maybe some info on the water caravan. the stim cost me 150 bottlecaps and i paid another 8 to fill it a full three CC so that it had multiple heals.

never did go get that book.

then as i left town i J-hooked and camped the town exit and sniped the BOS till they got pissed a charged me three abreast. i safety killed one as he sot me and took my hit and walked off to spawn. informed our leader of the stuff i found, including he had also attained his jet inhaler, we were set for phaze three. then i couldnt get out of spawn because the muties and BOS were scrapping around the RAD ZONE. then game called for OSF.

all that in two hours. for just 5 bucks?

i have seen kids waste 5 bucks in quarters faster playing mortal combat or some other shit.

nothing about this game sucked whatsoever.

where the shazaam are the pics fre.... i mean wes.

Alex....*hug*
Seriously, everyone that made it out today, thank you so much. I enjoyed being your short lived, sword swinging, voice losing overlord (I have no voice right now, but I don't care.) We put a lot of time into this game and wanted to make it as epic/bitchin' as we could, given the limits of the field and our budget. I am also sorry that it was cut short and wish you could have seen what was planned for the later two acts....trust me. It was going to get interesting. I wont spoil anything because....well, they are now prime for fallout: episode 2.

Mutants had it tough for quite a bit, mostly with being stuck behind that damn T-junction. While it was hectic, our progress was cut short by the cease-fire. I was really hoping to see a lot more super mutants acting the part, but as long as there were fun times had, that's good enough for me. Again, thank you all for coming out.

KA-BAR you shot me in the ear when I had a helmet on. It freaked me out so bad that I did not even know what to do for a minute or so. I just want to congratulate you on such a magnificent shot!
