Day 1:
0900-0945: Team Leaders and Above: Train the Trainer (Leadership trains/reviews with Cadre on Patrolling techniques) (Darius)
Everyone Else: Gear up (Redd)
*At 0930 Team Leaders will break off and perform Pre Combat Checks (PCC's ~ Team Leaders check their guys to make sure they're ready. Check to make sure their weapons ready to go with batteries / ammo. Check gear to make sure they have what they need such as boots, mag pouches, compass, radio, etc.)*
0945-1000: Safety Brief (Pickles)
1000-1030: Brief the whole group on basics of patrolling using rock drills, sand tables & whiteboard. (Darius)
1030-1300: Sergeants' Time. Squad Leaders break off with their squads and train them in patrolling. Cadre will roam and assist when needed, as well as give individual attention to new players. (Squad Leaders led)
*One PLA Cadre will break off and work with the group of players who are new to PLA, new to airsoft, or want to review the basics. You'll get hands-on instruction on individual marksmanship, movement, bounding and how to work within a squad using US Infantry-esque Tactics. (TBD)
1300-1400: Break for lunch.
1400-1600: Map Reading / Land Navigation class. Get pace counts, learn use of map and compass. (ODA315)
1600-1700: Individual movement, cover, concealment, route selection, etc. (Snake Eyes)
1700-Dusk: Break to reload and refit for the night game. Open skirmish with objectives geared towards practical application of today's instruction. (Darius)
Dusk-Nightfall: Night Game (Darius)
Night Time: BBQ + Campfire + Smores + Hookahs + Backrubs + Storytime + "It's getting weird Redd, put your pants back on." (Darius)
Day 2 - (Sept 26th)
0800 - 1000 / Gear up, Eat, Pack up
1000 - 1015/ Safety Brief (Pickles)
1015 - 1130 / Map work and plotting of points (ODA315)
1130 - 1230 / Radio check, SOI (ODA315)
1230 - 1330 / Break for Lunch
1330 - 1700 / Tactical operations by map and radio. Ambush, patrolling, reconaissance (ODA315)
1700 - Endex / Leave Camp (Darius)
Service and Support:
Movement: Individuals are responsible for coordinating their own movment to the AO.
Bivouac: See various posts by Darius137
Maneuver: The unit trains in roughly two patrol sized elements with a controlling and/or accompanying HQ.
Food and water: Bring your own.
Alcohol: Not advised. Not allowed for minors under any circumstances.
Command and Signal:
Bring the Tri Square radios. Make sure they are charged.
Bring a good compass. A good compass is either a Commenga compass (Army style) or a Base Plate compass (Silva style).
Bring a whistle in case you get lost I can find you.
ODA to bring maps and protractors.
ODA to bring SOI
ODA to conduct pre-training with selected individuals prior to September's training.
