This is probably the same series, but I remember a long time ago a cartoon/manga/comic/whatever with rabbits fighting in Vietnam or ww2 where they were called usagi (U.S.A. GI), which is Japanese for rabbit.

They only released the ONA, so most likely they will not release the entire series yet before they see the popularity of the ONA. I am pretty sure our views off the bootleg fansub will not help them get popularity and hype but I would love to see a mini series going or at least a movie..
