I've never seen an AG36 on an M4 before....at least not outside of airsoft.

You mean an AG-C/GLM:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heckler_%26_Koch_AG-C/EGLM

AG36 is proprietary to the G36. Britain uses the AG-C/GLM under the names L17A1 and L17A2, with the ones pictured being L17A1s. (For use on Canadian production C8SFW carbines, also pictured.) The L17A2 is mounted on the L85A2.

Thanks for the clarification Vogon.

SO, is it a 320 or one of the L17/C8SFW/whatevers?

It's one of the L17/C8SFW/whatvers.

To recap/clarify: The weapon system pictured is the L119A1 carbine fitted with a L17A1 grenade launcher and a Trijicon ACOG. The L119A1 sold by Colt Canada (formerly Diemaco) as the C8SFW, and the L17A1 is sold by H&K as the AG-C/GLM. The AG-C/GLM, like the M320, is a development of the AG36, but all three are distinct from each other. The easiest distinction to note between the AG-C/GLM and the M320 is that the AG-C/GLM has the original AG36 length barrel, while the M320 is a similar length to the short variant of the M203. The AG36 itself cannot be mounted on an AR weapons platform as it uses a proprietary mount for the G36, and similarly the L17A2 for the L85A2 cannot be mounted on an L119A1.
