Sci-Fi themed events?

Does anyone put on Sci-Fi themed events up here in the Northwest?
I used to go down to California for Sci-Fi events but they died down a couple of years ago.
These events can be fun.

As far as Sci-Fi, there's been the Nephilim events, and various zombie events. What kind of stuff in particular have you done?

I know there was a Harry Potter themed event in SoCal a few years back. And there have been GI Joe themed events across the country over the years.

STARGATE themed events , i was in a U.N. Command off world team .

Battlestar Galactica themed events , i was in a Caprica Colonial Infantry Unit.

Also a couple of what if games that evolved around WWII not ending in 1945 and continuing into the '60s.

The story line went like this
After the failure of Operation Overlord the Germans had the breathing room they needed to bring their new weapons into full scale production and concentrate on the Eastern Front , the Soviets where stopped at their own border and both sides dug defensive positions , 1946 Germany regains control of the skies thanks to their jet fighters , England is going trough another Blitz this time the RAF cannot stopped it ,London is destroyed by a Nuclear bomb , the Royal family evacuates to Canada and Britain is occupied by German Forces , Moscow , Leningrad and Stalingrad are also destroyed by Nuclear bombs , Staling and the soviet government evacuate to the East.
Moving forward to September 1961 , the Germans launch Operation Amerika , an all out invasion of the United States .
With the new German Kriegsmarine and Luftwaffe the landings take place in Florida and the lower Southern States fall to the Germans in a matter of weeks .
The game was really fun , it was a 2 day event and the Americans where armed with M14s and M16s , while the Germans where armed with G3's STG44s and a few FN FALS.

Probably loadouts and weapons

Load outs and weapons where theme specific , also , no High Cap magazines where allowed , only Mid and Real cap magazines , players where only allowed to carry a realistic amount of ammo and magazines.

Medic rules , each member was given a wound card , when hit they had to call for a medic , the medic would check the card , if you where killed you went to the assembly area and where not allowed back into the fight until enough players where available to make a difference in the fight ( kinda like a fresh para drop or a new landing force went in the next wave )

Objectives had to be completed in order to declare a winner , if you did not complete the objective points where taken away from the overall force.
