Oregon Airsoft Arena: Open for Business

Discuss anything and everything here that's Airsoft related.

Seagreen wrote:Funky, thanks for altering your post. S4-Tactical (Avery, Bill, and Tom) are in NO WAY associated with that place. There are MANY reasons why I will not personally be attending, supporting, or otherwise...but none of these reasons will be posted publicly.

I believe that on the retail side, AONW had us (S4) whipped through our whole experience and will continue that a$$ kicking tradition with its new competitor OAA.

That being said, I will do my local purchases of airsoft related gear through AONW. (due to past and currently relationships with the owners and employees)

I'll wait for full scale events (CQCs/BSP Challenges) to get my CQB on. Gunning up close is fun, but doing it with mission templates and competitively is just my personal slice of airsoft pie.

I didn't know they had cqb events on ap. Also, the trolling is bugging the shit out of me, whoever has the power to remove this thread then do it...

The CQB events are all team based and event driven. Check out the video selection on AP and you'll see some of the event footage. Pretty fun stuff.

I'm not necessarily seeing trolling Funky. I'm seeing counter arguments and opinions that are not in support of the new establishment.

KaBar is/can be pretty rough around the edges, and I'll be discussing that via PM. He did though bring up a very interesting question. That waiver doesn't make any mention of the insurance company which is normally very clearly defined on insured fields. I'd be sure they are indeed insured prior to participation, otherwise you accept all liability for injury in the event a structure rips you open (which we all know is possible) or some other unforseen accident occurs that is none of your doing.

We had full coverage, I hope they do too. It could bring a lot of pain and suffering if some kid gets hurt and Mom has a lawyer.

And you have the authority to judge whether it is going to be locked/unlocked? And the authority to delete threads of similar content?

I started it, and now want it locked because you guys have to be a bunch of little pricks and say how bad you think it is, etc. Trolling fucks up threads guys, dont do it. If you dont have anything good to say then dont say anything at all.

This thread will wear itself out soon enough. Why lock it? It's a civil discussion by AP standards.

Trolling does indeed ruin threads. However, when pertinent information is being brought up, a thread should not be locked. You saw fit to create this thread, therefore it cannot be uncreated. You must deal with what you spawned into this world, stinky shit and all.

Agreed Andrew. As long as we stay opinionated in the proper AP way, there ain't no stopping what can't be stopped.....no killing what can't be killed.

With that guys, let's keep it civil.

Funky, the only trolling I see is coming from you. Almost immediately you became hostile with your words because others do not agree with you or your statements, and the others were fairly civil and easy compared to what I've seen before.

Take a break from your computer, take a few breaths, and come back when you're calmed down.

That said, I wish Oregon Airsoft Arena luck in their venture, however I will not spend my money there simply because I don't care for CQC/CQB other than organized events, and even then I usually only act...

That's because Carrie you truly being shot in CQB environments and have no defense other than the "acting role"....You enjoy the pain and suffering, with pizza, a soda or two, and undying appreciation as your only payment!

Get over yourself, friend.

Jester316 wrote:You said your piece (that a new place is open). We said ours (we don't give a flying f**k about it).

Im trying to help out the cause with the new arena... And exactly what he said above is happening. Its one thing to have an opinionated, well said reply. And its another to Say "I dont give a flying shazaam about it. your a retard"

Obviously because of the annoying bashing and bitching this will look not like somebody trying to help, but annoying pricks ruining the entire thread. Thats why I ask it be removed, not for me, but for Oregon-Airsoft's sake... I didn't know it would turn into a disrespectful clusterfuck like it has. :?

Yes I was.
