Best camo to get

Discussion of load-bearing equipment, tactical gear, holsters, BDUs, and other gear related to Airsoft.

So where would I go about getting a set of Camo? (Keep in mind I'm on somewhat of a budget)

@The sarcasm guys... Ive had my fair share of ignorant pricks tell me to get something completely opposite and dumb or post something stupid. Most people get REALLY annoyed when you use sarcasm. Because some people aren't being sarcastic and just plain retarded!

Airsoft outlet carries multi, thats all the places around here I know of. Also keep in mind that multicam will cost more than most other camo's also the cut style will also effect price.

MARPAT is better for the greener areas, MultiCam is better in the more tanish brownish areas.

It depends on the field you're playing at.

Scapppoose for example is really green so MultiCam tends to stand out, while at Warpaint down in Salem, large areas of the field allow you to pretty much vanish if you're in MC.

I think MARPAT is a better choice for the majority of the fields we play at, but MC certainly does work.

Remember though, with the range of airsoft guns, the engagment distance is pretty short that camo doesn't play THAT big a role.

Airsoft is pretty much a fashion show, so get what you think looks good.

i Disagree with everyone.

Get what you like, just remember Airsoft is a Fashion show for men. But just get what you want to look cool or build a load out based off something from the Real world.

I dont want to sound to codnub but If that really is the case wouldn't a somewhat dark camo do the trick like lets say medium colored urban? As long as its not pure digital out in the woods then im fine right?

I agree with Mini-Marine It will depend on the field you are at AND the time of the year, Scapoose yesterday was VERY green, but other times of the year it's been known to be a bit more brownish...
Marpat is a good choice for most fields in this area, it mixes greens and browns to be effective in both elements.
However like he said "with the range of airsoft guns, the engagement distance is pretty short that camo doesn't play THAT big a role." The camo you wear will get less effective the closer you get to your target.

Airsoft is a fashion show, get what you like, but remember Camo is for breaking up the pattern of your body so if you wear bright camo, or dark camo you will standout because your outline will be seen.

In my opinion, the subdue urban camo is great for night games, that's about it.

IMO camo matters if your running in a small 2 to 4 person group or alone and trying to be sneaky. The harder it is to spot you, the closer you can get to the enemy and the harder for them to see who's shooting at them.

Marpat works great most of the year and at most fields.
Multicam is great for summer games.
Cadpat and M84 are great for the springtime.
Flecktarn is great for the Fall.

One of the best all around camouflage BDU's, isn't a camouflage pattern. Good'ole OD.

Edit: Tigerstripe (vietnam era) is a very effective camo pattern in Oregon aswell.

It's not just about the camo , it is also about knowing how to use the camo properly , i have seen kids in ghillie suits just stand there thinking they are blending in or lay down in an area that their suit does not match the environment.
I wear different types of European camo that sometimes looks like it will stand out , but once in the game it's hard to tell the difference , even in ACU i have had patrols go by me just a few feet away and gone undetected.

To start i would say get the good 'ol Woodland Pattern BDUs , they are cheap and work good.

Also do (if you can afford it ) what myself and my daughter do and get different types of camo to cover many areas.
