I heard the KWA M9 has a plastic outer barrel while the KJW M9 is fully metal. Would the plastic outer barrel mean it's worse?

I found a 100 obo KWA m9 on craigslist and it says "slightly used", if I should check it out what should I be looking for before I buy it?
I have seen many say get NS 2 system, what is this? (when I googled, I couldn't find an answer)
Thanks.

If you want an M9, only 2 companies make good ones, KJW and TM. As for which KJW model of M9, they are all the same on the inside, just different externals (which is up to you which one you like best). The mags on any gun will leak without proper care and maintenance.

The TM MK23 is very accurate, but HUGE. Take a USP and picture it about 30% bigger and you got a MK23. Its also made out of plastic, while durable, won't be as sturdy as a full metal gun.

Personally I'd avoid WE guns due to the failures I've seen.

Before you do take the leap into getting a gun, goto a game/ airsoft shop and fondle as many as you can. You might find that a 1911 works better for you than say a USP. Or maybe a 226 tickles your pickle in the right way.

As for Glock vs USP, I liked my RS USP CT more than my G17 when I had them. But I'd take a 1911 over both ;) (which is what I have now).

I can give the KJW M9 a try if 1911 is not any better, but I did hear the 1911's fail after about 6 months and not sure if that's true. As for NS 2 I heard it gives stronger gas release, but is it necessary like the PTP versions and such? From a review PTP with NS 2 went to like 350 fps while the orignial m9 was about in the 280's. Will it improve like lets say range or accuracy? Does it really matter? (HERE IS THE LINK FOR THE REVIEW http://community.tradersairsoft.com/sho ... hp?tid=351

Sorry for going very far, and brinning up all this here.. It's a hard choice. I'll try to resolve this as quick as I can possibly do so.
I would get the M9 unless a KP45 is suggested http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.p ... ts_id=5717 in terms of range/accuracy/durability/ etc.. On most poles the K45 wins, I hope it is nearly the same as the KJW M9, along with is KWA a good make for the KP45 if it is not for the M9? BTW how long does green gas stay in the mag unfired before you cannot fire?

You bought your M9 at airsoftatlanta right? If so I can't use paypal there so airsoft GI is probably my best bet, but I'm not sure if it has the same exact types as the one in airsoftatlanta link that you gave me on your first response. Thanks.

Depends on the brand of 1911. Some people have KJW and WE 1911s that are running strong after years, others just fall to bits. If you do want a 1911, go with TM, but thats gonna run more.

I'd avoid the PTP guns from KWA since they seem to be made by blind people using the crappiest crap at the bottom of the bucket. A high FPS will give you more range, but not necessarily more accuracy. The range and accuracy on my M9 is quite amazing, I don't have solid figures, but it gives me a nice distance.

When I had a KSC USPc it was great. The only reason I sold it was it saw so little use.

I got my M9 from airsplat (whom I'd avoid like the clap) since they were the only place at the time that had the super awesome silver M9. Airsoft Atlanta is good people. I mainly suggested them since they had the KJW M9 in stock. If AONW carried the KJW M9, I'd recommend them since they'll service you good.

The KJW M9 is gonna be the best bang for your buck. If your looking to spend more on a gas gun, than any of KWA's non PTP guns will be great. If your looking to spend even more, TM is hard to beat, but they require more care and/or upgrades due to being made of plastic.

So I would go for the KJW M9, but only from airsoftgi and there are a few there, are they all the same as the kind you have? If you can link me one that would make me happier. (airsoftgi because I think it accepts paypal method). Otherwise is the kp45 ptp (It says KWA kp45 tactical (NS 2)? If not it's pretty high fps not sure about accuracy, if you have heard bad reviews about that gun let me know(I have heard a few accuracy issues). Otherwise if you would recommend me it over the m9 also let me know.

Right now I'm trying to decide between kp45 tactical for 140 (it's on airsoftgi here: http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.p ... ts_id=5717 ) or m9 for 100-110.

Here are the M9's that i found on airsoftgi

I suppose the tac-master is the best one. What do you say?

I have this one for reasons that can't fully be explained.

If that USP tickles your fancy, I see nothing wrong with getting it.

Haha, what reasons are you talking about?

There are a few accuracy issues with the KP45 specifically the tactical(not the match) such as the bb missing targets 5-6inches at 30 feet or the bb flying far up into the sky after 50 feet etc. I found 2 of these issues (since it's a new gun there aren't much that own it, so I can't really tell how popular this issue would have been).

There has been some issues with the m9 aswell such as hop-up or bucking problems after about a week of use.
I might just go for the m9. I hope I am happy when I get the m9, I just want to know why the chrome. Thanks.

It was a bit of a magpie moment. That and I wanted a chrome/silver M9 when I was younger, but couldn't get one then. the reasons for getting the silver over black were purely cosmetic, nothing about it being better (because they are all the same). The one issue I have had with it was the hopup screw walked out so I had to re tighten it, which isn't that big a deal.

I would get a black one, but from the links there are 2 black ones, should I get the tacmaster over the other?

How long have you had your's and did you ever have this bb falling out of your barrel problem? Did you ever have to replace your mag?

About how many rounds have you shot with yours? How often do you need to lube and adjust the hop up? Thanks.

Why in the hell would you prefer a USP over Glock?

As Jewish Ninja stated....Its really a matter of personal preference. I like the Glocks because there are less external moving parts to mal -function / break. That and the fact that I carried a Glock for almost 20 years and know them inside out=very reliable (RS). Go with what you like!

If you ever feel like sticking a light/ laser on it, get the railed one. If it makes no bother to you, get the non railed. I've had mine for 2 years, dumped probably around 4k rounds through it. I did have the BB falling out issue, but I just had to re tighten the hop up screw and it was fine. Still using all the mags that I got with it 2 years ago. 2 of them needed repair on the bottom O rings, but I chalk that up to using crappy gas (which my teammate advised against since it gave him the same problem.)

I usually take it down every 4 months or so, wipe it down and relube it. If it got super dirty from a game, then I'll do it the next day, but for the most part 4 months has worked out just fine for me.

Coleman propane if you go that route, otherwise any brand of green gas will be fine.
